IIT Guwahati will commence the registration of AAT 2023 from June 18, 2023. The last date to apply will be June 19, 2023 (17:00 IST). IIT Guwahati released the JEE Advanced (AAT) 2023 schedule on its official website along with the JEE Advanced 2023 exam dates. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Council came up with AAT or Architecture Aptitude Test in place of JEE Advanced Paper-II for architecture for BArch admissions in IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee. The admission in B.Arch course is still given on the basis of JEE Advanced AIR but for seat allotment in these two institutes, the AAT examination has been made mandatory. The candidates who have a valid score in JEE Advanced 2023 can register for AAT.
AAT 2023 Important Dates
There are 35 seats available in IIT Roorkee and 45 seats in IIT Kharagpur for Bachelors in Architecture (B.Arch) course and admissions are based on AAT scores. The important dates for AAT 2023 are as follows:

AAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of AAT 2023 is similar to the eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced which requires the candidates to pass JEE Main 2023 first. Candidates who secure any rank between 1 and 2,50,000 in the JEE Main exam become eligible for the JEE Advanced exam. After qualifying for the JEE Advanced exam, those who wish to pursue a B.Arch from either IIT Kharagpur or IIT Roorkee, the candidates can apply for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT).

The registration process for JEE Advanced begins for those who aspire to pursue their B. Arch studies from either IIT Kharagpur or IIT Roorkee and have to register themselves through the online registration link available on this page. As there are less time for the aspirants to apply for the AAT 2023 exam, it is suggested to the aspirants to start registering for the same as soon as the link is activated on the official website. The aspirants should also be well aware of the AAT 2023 eligibility criteria before they start filling out the online application forms. AAT 2023 Syllabus
The JEE Advanced AAT 2023 syllabus is released by the IIT JEE (JEE Advanced) conducting body. The syllabus includes multiple sects related to architecture. The detailed syllabus of AAT 2023 is given in the table below:

The pattern of AAT 2023 examination comprises the following details. The examination is only in English and the duration is 3 hours for answering 16 questions. The details of the AAT 2023 exam pattern are as follows:

Section-wise Preparation Tips for AAT 2023

General Knowledge
The candidates must study architecture-related affairs and achievements in India and globally. Some important points to remember for GK are the names of the famous monuments worldwide and their architects, shapes, and locations of globally noted monuments. Apart from that, basic questions on traffic and road safety can also be asked.
Freehand
The candidate should have the practice of doing freehand drawings and sketches without any measurement equipment like scales or compasses. He/she should have skills to use proper colours in sketches.
Geometric Drawings
In this section, the knowledge of students in geometric shapes will be tested. The candidates should work on developing the skill of visualising real-life objects from a given geometric shape.
Creativity
The candidates need a lot of creativity and imagination to work on questions pertaining to shapes, sizes, objects for clearing AAT 2023.

AAT 2023 Admit Card
The JEE Advanced AAT 2023 does not have any separate admit card. Candidates can enter the examination hall with the same JEE Advanced admit card. The roll number and other credentials remain the same.

The results of AAT 2023 will be announced on the official website of JEE Advanced 2023 in online mode.
