AP Law Eligibility Criteria 2024

At the UG, PG, and Ph.D. levels, students can pursue legal studies. Depending on the course and branch the candidate chooses, there are different eligibility requirements. However, for the candidates' reference, the following are the general qualifying requirements for UG and PG law courses:

UG level: Students must have successfully completed their Class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum cumulative GPA of 45%(for SC/ST) to 50%(for the unreserved category) in order to be admitted to UG Law programs. The minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying exam depend on college to college.

PG level: Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university in order to be admitted to the LLB (3-year or 5-year integrated) program. Additionally, candidates must hold an LLB degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited university in order to be admitted to the LLM program.

Ph.D.: The candidate must have earned a regular postgraduate degree in law from an accredited university.
