Do’s of KCET 2024 Option Entry
Here are certain activities that a candidate needs to make a note of about KCET 2024 option entry –
A secret key is mandatory to fill option form, and it is important to preserve it till the conclusion of the KCET 2024 seat allotment process
Before proceeding with the option entry process, it is important to do some preparatory work. For example, list out the colleges that you are planning to take admission, check the KCET cutoffof the respective college, and mark the priority number accordingly
Based on the list you prepared, proceed with the online option form filling where you will need to select a college and course. If a college is offering multiple specializations in B.Tech, you will need to mark a priority number for each course
There is no limit on the number of colleges that a candidate can choose in the option entry form, and it is advisable to fill in as many choices as possible
If you are applying for multiple courses, make sure that the most preferred course is marked as a top priority or given a higher priority number
On the option entry portal of KCET, you can select the list of courses. For example, if you selected Engineering, you will see the list of all engineering colleges participating in KCET counselling
If you are looking for admission to a college located in your region, it is important to give that college a higher priority number in the option entry form. This will enhance your admission chances based on your region's preference
Apart from location preference, it is important to do some research about the colleges that you are planning to choose. Research about college on Google, visit its official website, try to get in touch with senior students of the college, and consult your parents/ relatives for their opinion
Once the mock allotment result is out, edit the choices accordingly (if you did not get an allotment as per the first choice). In addition, you will need to check the mock round cutoff so that you can alter/ change the order of college options
In all, while filling out the option form, it is important to consider previous years’ cutoff, course preference, location preference, etc
Don’ts of KCET 2024 Option Entry
Here are certain activities that a candidate must refrain from while filling out the option form of KCET 2024 –
