FAQ1: Where can I access the NEET 2024 Syllabus?

A1: The syllabus for NEET UG 2024 has been notified by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It is available on the NMC website. For the convenience of candidates, the same syllabus is also accessible on the NTA website at nta.ac.in.

FAQ2: Is there any change in the syllabus for NEET UG 2024 compared to the previous year?

A2: Yes, there have been revisions in the syllabus for NEET UG 2024 in comparison to the previous year. Topics that are not taught in any School Board curriculum or are not available in the latest NCERT books have been removed. The majority of the chapters have been deleted from the Physics subject followed by Chemistry subject and Biology subject. A3: The revision of the NEET UG syllabus for the Academic Year 2024 was prompted by the COVID-19 scenario. Due to the pandemic, several School Boards have deleted portions of the Physics, Chemistry and Biology syllabus. As mentioned earlier, a huge chunk of topics were deleted during the widespread of COVID-19 and the deletion was not uniform. Over time, NTA received numerous requests for the revision of the syllabus to align it with the current educational landscape.

FAQ4: Regarding Unit 2 of the Biology syllabus, it mentions "of an insect (Frog)", but Frog is not an insect.

A4: NTA acknowledged the query and agrees that the phrase "of an insect (Frog)" should be read as "of an insect and a frog" to accurately represent the content covered in Unit 2 of the NEET Biology Syllabus 2024 PDF .

FAQ5: Why are there topics included in the updated syllabus that are not present in the new NCERT Books?

A5: Certain topics are available in the updated syllabus but are absent from the new NCERT books. These topics are being taught in educational boards such as the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Bihar School Education Board, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, Nagaland Board of School Education, and Board of Secondary Education Manipur.
