Instructions to be followed after Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment 2023: KEA has released the Karnataka DCET Round 1 Seat Allotment 2023 on November 25, 2023. Candidates who have passed the exam and registered for the Karnataka DCET counselling 2023 were eligible to participate in the seat allotment. After the Karnataka DCET seat allotment 2023, candidates will have 4 choice options to exercise. While exercising their choices candidates must follow important guidelines. The Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test-2023 (DCET-2023) is a state-level entrance test held annually by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to determine the eligibility of Karnataka candidates for admission to the second year or third semester of full-time B.E courses for both day and evening colleges in various University/ Government/ Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided professional educational institutions of the state. The Karnataka DCET 2023 exam was conducted on September 9, 2023, and the Karnataka DCET 2023 Result was released on October 30, 2023

What After Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment 2023?

Karnataka DCET 2023 Seat Allotment will be determined using the Roster System based on the Merit / Rank of the candidate and the priority of alternatives entered by the candidates, according to the seat matrix that will be released by the government. After checking the seat allotment results, applicants can make the following decisions:

Choice 1

During the first round, applicants must confirm their seat allocation. If the candidate is happy with the assigned seat, he or she should use Choice-1 on the KEA web portal

Choice 2

If the candidate believes that the seat assigned to him or her in the first round is satisfactory but intends to participate in the following round for higher order possibilities above the seat assigned, then use Choice-2 on the KEA web portal

Choice 3

If the candidate is dissatisfied with the seat assigned in the first round but wants to participate in the following round for better possibilities, use Choice-3 on the KEA web portal

Choice 4

If the candidate is dissatisfied with the given seat in the first round and is also unwilling to participate in any further rounds because the candidate has a seat elsewhere, then use Choice-4 on the KEA web portal.

Instructions for Candidates Choosing Choice 1 in Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment 2023

Candidates who will be exercising Choice 1 in Karnataka DCET 2023 seat allotment must follow the given instructions 

  • The applicant must affirm that they are pleased with the seat assigned to them in the first round of Karnataka DCET seat allotment 2023

  • If satisfied, choose Option 1 on the KEA Web portal

  • The candidate must then download and print the Triplicate Challan from the KEA website

  • The candidate's information, such as name, CET number, college/course allotted data, fee to be paid, and bank account number, will be pre-printed on the Challan

  • The candidate must confirm the written facts and sign the Challan

  • After downloading the Challan, the candidate must pay the specified amount at any nearby bank that KEA will notify

  • Following receipt of payment, the bank will release the candidate copy to the candidate while keeping the KEA and Bank copy

  • The candidate will be able to download the Karnataka DCET 2023 Admission Order one hour after completing the payment

  • Download the Admission Order, print it, and sign the Admission Order.

  • Report to the college on or before the final date specified in the Admission Order, accompanied by the Original Documents

Instructions for Candidates Choosing Choice 2 in Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment 2023

Candidates who will be opting for choice 2 in Karnataka DCET 2023 seat allotment must follow the given guidelines:

  • Candidates who select Option 2 in the Karnataka DCET seat allotment 2023 must pay the stipulated fees for the confirmed/given seat in the first round. However, students will not be able to obtain the Admission Order or enrol at the assigned college until the Second and Final Rounds.

  • Candidates who exercise Choice 2 participate in the Second Round by retaining the seat that was assigned to them in the First Round of Karnataka DCET 2023 seat allotment. If better possibilities become available, the earlier seat will be immediately cancelled.

OR

  • If none of the Options are selected, the candidate will keep the seat assigned to them in the first round.

  • The candidate's seat from the first round will be regarded as the final choice in the second round. If any of the better options are not assigned, the applicant will keep the seat assigned to them in the second round.

Important Notes- 

  • Seats will be cancelled for candidates who exercise Choice 2 but fail to submit the required payment by the deadline

  • Choice 2 candidates who wish to renounce their seats after completing the payment may do so at any Helpline Centre before the deadline for entering options for the second round. For such applicants, Rs. 5,000/- would be deducted from the money made, and any remaining amount would be returned. If they renounce the seat after the final date for option entry for the second round, the whole amount paid as fees will be lost according to the regulations.

Instructions for Candidates Choosing Choice 3 in Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment 2023

Students who will not be opting for choice 1 and 2 but rather go for choice 3 in Karnataka DCET 2023 seat allotment must refer to the following instructions 

  • Candidates who choose Option 3 do not have to pay the fees for the given seat in the first round

  • Candidates who select Option 3 are dissatisfied with their assigned seat

  • Candidates who exercise Choice 3 advance to the second round by declining the seat assigned to them in the first round

Instructions for Candidates Choosing Choice 4 in Karnataka DCET Seat Allotment 2023

If a candidate is dissatisfied with the seat given by KEA and has a seat elsewhere, he/ she is departing and should not be considered for assignment of seats in any further Karnataka DCET 2023 rounds. Such candidates have no claim to the assigned seat.
