Documents Required for KCET 2024 Counselling - KCET 2024 counselling will start by the Karnataka Examination Authority tentatively from the fourth week of June to the First week of August 2024. During KCET counselling, candidates must keep ready all the documents required for KCET counselling. These documents need to be uploaded through the online application link to claim eligibility and reservation benefits. It is mandatory for all candidate to possess all necessary original documents with them in support of their claim made in the online application. If any candidate fails to upload any of the documents / certificates / marks card, such candidates will not get eligibility to exercise the options for seat allotment.

Here is the complete list of all the documents that the candidates must submit during the documents uploading procedure of the KCET 2024 counselling process -
A copy of the final submitted application form for KCET
Class 10/SSLC mark sheet
Class 12/IInd PUC mark sheet (in case of provisional mark sheet, the candidate must submit the mark sheet which bears the signature of the principal of the institution from where he/she has completed his/her IInd PUC/Class XIIth studies)
7-year study certificate bearing the signature of the concerned DDPI/BEO (CBSE/CICSE study certificate holders are exempted from getting their certificates signed by DDPI/BEO)

In addition to the aforementioned certificates and documents, the candidates have to provide the following documents if they fall under the “Only If Applicable” category:

Kannada Medium Certificate | Candidates belonging to the Karnataka state or any other state who have studied in Kannada medium from 1st to 10th standard. The certificate should be issued by the Head of the Educational Institution and countersigned by the respective DDPI/BEO |
Rural Study Certificate | Candidates who have spent at least 10 full academic years (1 to 10) in any recognized Rural Educational Institution have to submit a certificate issued by the Head of the Educational Institution and countersigned by the respective DDPI/BEO. Such candidates also have to submit an income certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar |
Case Certificate | Reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, and OBC (Category 1) candidates have to submit their respective caste certificates issued by the concerned Jurisdictional Tehsildar. Such candidates also have to submit an income certificate to avail of the benefits of the tuition fee waiver scheme and various Scholarships |

KCET 2024 Documents Important Pointers
- The details on the documents must verify the candidate's name, father's name, mother name printed on the certificates/marks cards, etc.
- The study Certificate should contain the details about study period and years. BEO / DDPU counter signature is compulsory on the study certificate.
- Candidates must check the date of issue of the caste certificate/ caste income certificate. They must also check the validity of the certificate.
- Check the RD number printed on the caste certificate/ caste income certificate/ income certificate. Without an RD number candidates cannot be eligible to claim a reservation.
- The caste certificate/ caste income certificate/ income certificate should be in the name of the candidate only.
- The caste certificate/ caste income certificate/ income certificate should be of Karnataka state only. OBC certificate issued by the Central Government is not valid for admissions through KEA; it should be in Form-F for 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B reservations, Form-E for Category-1, and Form-D for SC / ST reservations.
- Category-1 and SC or ST candidates should also submit income certificates to avail the benefit of fee exemption as per Government norms. If they fail to produce the income certificate they will not be eligible to claim fee exemption benefits.
