NCHMCT JEE Online Test Instructions: The NCHMCT JEE 2024 is scheduled to take place on May 11, 2024, in an online format known as a computer-based test. Participants must attend the test at their designated NCHMCT JEE exam centres, the specifics of which can be found on their NCHMCT JEE 2024 admit card. Upon arrival at the exam centre, candidates will be assigned a computer terminal (node) where they will log in using the provided user ID and password.

Once logged in, candidates will encounter the WELCOME screen along with their photograph and the subject they have chosen. For many applicants, this might be their first time taking an online exam. General Instructions

Listed below are some of the basic rules and instructions that candidates should keep in mind when appearing for NCHMCT JEE 2024:

  • The total duration of the NCHMCT JEE examination is 180 minutes. The clock will be set on the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of the screen will display the remaining time available for the candidates to complete the NCHCMT JEE examination.  The exam will end when the timer reaches itself. They will not be required to end or submit their examination.
  • The Questions Palette provided on the right side of the screen will show the status of each question. The status will be shown using one of the following symbols.
  • Candidates can click on their "Profile" image on the top right corner of their screen to change the language during the exam for the entire question paper. On clicking the Profile image, they will get a drop-down to change the question content to the desired language.

Navigating a Question

Since NCHMCT JEE 2024 is a time-based exam, candidates must be swift in navigating the questions. Knowing how to do it can help save a lot of time. Candidates can answer the questions in NCHMCT JEE as:

  • They can click on the question number in the Question Palette at the right of their screen to go to that numbered question directly. It should be noted that using this option they can not save their answer to the current question.
  • Candidates have to “Click on Save & Next “to save their answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
  • They can “Click on Mark for Review & Next” to save their answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.

Answering a Question

For first-timers, the online question paper and the multiple options given below may seem confusing. However, candidates can answer a multiple-choice type question with much ease by following these steps:

  • To select their answer, they can click on the button of one of the options.
  • To deselect their chosen answer, they can click on the button of the chosen option again or they can click on the Clear Response button
  • To change their chosen answer, they can click on the button of another option
  • To save their answer, they must click on the “Save & Next” button.
  • To mark their question for review, they can click on the Mark for Review & Next button.

If candidates want to change their answer to a question that has already been answered, they have to select the question for answering and they can follow the procedure for answering that type of question.

Navigating through Sections

Candidates must know how to navigate through each section in the NCHMCT JEE 2024 exam paper. The below steps can be helpful in this regard:

  • Sections in this question paper are displayed on the top bar of the screen. Candidates can view the questions in a section by clicking on the section name. The section they are currently viewing is highlighted.

  • After clicking the Save & Next button on the last question for a section, candidates will automatically be taken to the first question of the next section.
  • Candidates can shuffle between sections and question anything during the examination as per their convenience only during the time stipulated.
  • Candidates can view the corresponding section summary as part of the legend that appears in every section above the question palette.

NCHMCT 2024 Exam Day Instructions

The day of the entrance test is certainly important for all the examinees. In addition to the exam stress, a dozen other thoughts regarding timely reporting, document verification and security check-in may come to mind. To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience at the exam centre, candidates must stay on top of these NCHMCT JEE 2024 exam day instructions:

  • Applicants must report to the allotted test centre at least an hour before the scheduled exam time.
  • All applicants must carry their NCHMCT JEE 2024 admit card
  • Candidates must carry the necessary documents (ID proof, passport photographs, PwD certificate etc.) for verification at the NCHMCT JEE exam centre
  • Candidates must follow all Covid-safety norms – maintain social distancing, wear masks and gloves at all times, and carry a sanitiser bottle for personal use.
  • Applicants should not be carrying any items that are barred inside the exam hall. The list includes sharp/inflammable objects, food items, stationeries, electronic devices and gadgets etc.
  • Candidates must come dressed as per the guidelines provided by the conducting authority

If a candidate is found to breach any of the above rules, he/she will be dealt with strictly and may have their papers cancelled.

Keep Up with the Revision

With barely a week left for the test, now is the time to go all out! Revise the syllabus daily – focus on the important topics, and concepts and keep solving NCHMCT JEE previous test papers to get a grip on the questions.
