SRM University UG Admission Eligibility Criteria 2024

Eligibility criteria are considered the first screening stage for SRM University Admission. Therefore, one must ensure that they meet the eligibility rules set up by the university. Eligibility Criteria for SRM University B.Tech Courses:

• Candidates must be qualified in Higher Secondary Examination or candidates appearing in the same are eligible to apply
• They must have studied Physics and Chemistry (Compulsory papers) in their HSE
• Any one of these subjects must be studied along with Physics and Mathematics- Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture/  Information Technology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Informatics Practices/Engineering Graphics/ Biology/ Business Studies
• Candidates having 50% marks in PCM in their Higher Secondary Examination are eligible
• SRMJEE (UG) Score is manadatory

Eligibility Criteria for SRM University MBBS and BDS Courses:

• Candidates willing to enroll to these courses should have Higher Secondary qualification/ 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board
• They must have passed the HSE or equivalent with English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/ Botany and Zoology
• Having NEET Score is mandatory

Eligibility Criteria for SRM University Science and Humanities Courses

• For BCom, pass in the Higher Secondary Examination with minimum aggregate marks of 50% in the relevant subject is required
• Candidates applying for B.Ed must meet the eligibility norms of NCTE
• For BSc courses candidates should have obtained minimum of 50% in the relevant subjects. Candidates having a pass in Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 50% and qualified from any Government recognized institutes can also apply.
• The BCA in Computer Science and Data Science applicants need to have studied Mathematics / Allied Mathematics/ Business Mathematics / Statistics as one of the compulsory subjects.                 

Eligibility Criteria for SRM University Hotel and Catering Management Courses

• Candidates qualified the (10+2) in any stream are eligible for this course
• Minimum 35% in any stream is required to apply for the course

Eligibility Criteria for SRM University Science and Humanities Courses Law Courses

• To enroll in BCom LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Hons), a pass in (10+2) with a minimum of 60% in aggregate is required.
• Candidates must appear in any of the entrance exams such as CLAT/LSAT/ SRM Law Entrance.

How to Apply for SRM University UG Admission 2024

To apply for the SRM University UG courses, one should follow the university-specified application procedure. SRM University application form can be filled out only online. The stages below will explain the application process:

Step 1: Visit https://applications.srmist.edu.in/ to make the online registration and pay the fees.

Step 2: Complete the registration by providing a valid email address and password.

Step 3: In the application form, fill up the marked fields with the necessary details.

Step 4: Photographs, signatures, and scanned documents need to be uploaded during the application process. Remember, all the documents must be self-attested and as per the size and format mentioned by SRM University.

On the completion of the application process, all the online applications are preliminarily assessed based on the following parameters:

• Eligibility norms
• Academic scores
• Entrance exam scores
• Additional Merit

Then the candidates are shortlisted and intimated for the e-counselling process during which the document verification is done. After the verification of eligibility criteria, application and other documents, candidates are asked to pay the fees to the university admission office. Once the admission gets secured through the payment of tuition fees, candidates are offered a provisional allotment letter. Upon the successful completion of the enrolment process, an admission confirmation letter is offered to the candidates which guarantee admission.
