TNEA Random Number 2024 – The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Tamil Nadu will release the TNEA Rank Number 2024 on June 12, 2024. The 10-digit unique TNEA 2024 random number is utilized to handle tie situations in the rank list. Candidates who successfully complete the online registration process of TNEA 2024 are required to sign in using their email address and password to view the unique random number allotted to them by the conducting body. The 10-digit random number is allotted to candidates randomly. The random number is only used after all four tie-breaking rules have been applied. 

TNEA 2024 counselling registration has commenced on May 6, 2024. TNEA counselling 2024 is held to grant BE/BTech admission in Tamil Nadu via the state-centralized counselling process. Important Dates of TNEA 2024 Random Number

The Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) Tamil Nadu has released the dates pertaining to the TNEA random number 2024. Candidates can check TNEA random number 2024 release date in the table below. 

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to access the TNEA Random Number –

Step 1	Visit the official website of TNEA tneaonline.org
Step 2	Navigate to the candidate portal and click on the ‘Login’ option
Step 3	Provide your email address, password and enter the captcha code in the candidate login page
Step 4	Your allotted Random Number will be displayed on the screen. You will also receive the same through SMS on your mobile. Don't forget to save it for future reference

TNEA Tie Breaking Policy 2024

A tie-breaking policy is applied if two or more candidates secure the same rank or merit. The policy will help DOTE to resolve the tie. The following rules are applied –

Tie Breaker 1	Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics shall be allocated a higher rank.
Tie Breaker 2	If the tie persists, higher marks scored by a candidate in Physics shall be taken into consideration to determine rank/ merit.
Tie Breaker 3	If the tie persists after applying the above rules, the candidate with higher marks in the 4th optional subject shall be allocated a higher rank.
Tie Breaker 4	If the tie persists after applying the above rules, the Date of Birth of a candidate shall be taken into consideration. Candidates older in age will be allocated a higher rank.
Tie Breaker 5	If the tie persists after applying all the above rules, a Random Number will be used to determine the merit. Candidates with a higher value of random number shall be allocated a higher rank.

What after TNEA Random Number Allocation?

After the allocation of the TNEA Random Number, DTE will begin the certificate verification process. The certificate verification process will be conducted in online mode from June 13 to 30, 2024. The candidates can check their document verification status through the official website of TNEA. 

TNEA Rank List 2024

The TNEA rank list 2024 will be prepared based on the marks secured by candidates in the TNEA 2024 exam. The conducting body reduced marks secured by candidates in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to a base of 200 (Mathematics = 100 and Physics + Chemistry= 100). Candidates can access the TNEA rank list 2024 by logging into the candidate portal with their registered email address and password.
