Uttar Pradesh MBBS Admission 2024

Uttar Pradesh NEET (MBBS) Admission 2024 will begin in July, after the release of NEET results. The admission process for UP MBBS admission consists of steps like release of merit list, choice-filling, seat allotment, document verification and reporting at the allotted institute. 

Candidates seeking admission in medical courses offered by colleges in Uttar Pradesh under 85% state quota need to appear for counselling rounds. Uttar Pradesh MBBS admissions 2023 are done on the basis of the state merit listand scores obtained by students in the exam. UP NEET Counselling 2024 is conducted in 3 rounds, namely, Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3, also known as Mop-up Round. For each round, merit list is released. Students whose names appeared in the merit list become eligible to participate in further rounds of counselling.

Important Notice: The Security Deposit is to be submitted in the form of a CTS Bank Draft in the name of 'Director General Medical Education and Training, U.P., Lucknow". The draft should be payable at Lucknow Nodal Centre. 

Uttar Pradesh MBBS Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualifications: Other than NEET UG 2024 Exam candidates will be required to qualify the following educational requirement to be eligible for Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions:

  • General candidates who seek admission in Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admission must have passed class 12 exams with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English. These candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 50%.

  • Physically disabled candidates who belong to the general category must have secured an aggregate of at least 45% in the above subjects. Whereas, SC, OBC, and ST candidates must have secured 40% in the same.

Nativity/ Domicile Holder: Candidates who are domicile holders of Uttar Pradesh can take admission under the 85% state quota seats. Students who fulfill either of the following criteria will be considered the domicile holders of UP state:

  • Candidates whose father is a resident of UP and they themselves are natives of the state.

  • Candidates whose parent/s have lived/living in the state of Uttar Pradesh for three or more years.

  • Candidates whose parent/s are working with the Government of India.

  • Candidates who are residing in a foreign nation but have direct ancestors/ forefathers who were residents of Uttar Pradesh.

  • Candidates who have passed class 10 and 12 from Uttar Pradesh will also be eligible under this quota and need not show residency proof.

  • Candidates who have passed either class 10 or class 12 from UP will need to provide proof that either of their parents a is resident of UP.

  • Candidates who have passed neither of class 10 or class 12 from Uttar Pradesh must qualify either of the first four criteria.

Nationality: All Indian citizens and OCI candidates are eligible to apply for the Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions 2024.

Age: All candidates between 17 to 25 years of age can apply for Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions 2024. Candidates of the reserved category will be offered a relaxation of 5 years in the age criteria.

Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS application form 2024 is filled in a three-step process. Check the details of Uttar Pradesh MBBS application process below:

Registration: Candidates can apply for Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions online by filling in some basic details as mentioned in the NEET 2024 application form and admit cards. Other than that, candidates will have to fill up their personal details such as their category, mother’s name, address, contact details, marks in class 12 exams, etc. in order to complete the information required by the DMET Lucknow. Save and move on to the next step of the application process.

Uploading Documents: In order to successfully apply for the Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS admissions, candidates will have to scan their original documents and upload the ones asked for on the admission portal. Uttar Pradesh MBBS Admission Selection Process 2024

Uttar Pradesh MBBS and BDS selection process is administered by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Lucknow. NEET 2024 and rank are taken into account while shortlisting students for Uttar Pradesh MBBS admissions 2024. The Government Dental College Raipur cutoff 2023 for NEET UG is more than 400 marks for state-quota students. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) Raipur has released the NEET cut-off 2023 Chhattisgarh round 1 for 85% of state quota seats. However, the cutoff for 15% AIQ seats at Government Dental College Raipur will be released by MCC. You can check the official cutoff list to be sure whether you are eligible for admission.

For admission to the MBBS course at the Army College of Medical Sciences Delhi, a valid NEET UG 2023 score is necessary. The NEET cut off marks differ for various student categories (GEN, EWS, SC, ST, OBC, etc.). The 458 marks is a good NEET score if you belong to an OBC category.
