Alliance University hosts Tedx Talks under the theme ‘Beyond Boundaries’

Alliance University hosted the TEDx talk on January 21, 2023, at its Bengaluru Central Campus. The event shared inspiring stories about individuals who go ‘Beyond Boundaries’ to seek and invest in happiness, emotional experiences, solo trips, endurance, managing a career being a parent, acting and politics. TEDxAllianceUniversity is proof of Alliance University's commitment to pushing the boundaries to further the cause of learning and its transformational impact on people, communities, and societies. The purpose of the event was:

Inclusion and Diversity; 
Women in Leadership Roles; and 
Building a resilient workforce through skill-based education.

Who were the people who spoke?

Candida Louis is an Indian girl from a small town in Karnataka who used her bike to travel around the world.
Ankita Mehra, a queer child who grew up to become an LGBTQ+ activist and Diversity and Inclusion Leader; Ashish Raorane, an Indian cross-country rally pilot who has participated as a privateer in the Dakar Rally (the world's toughest rally raid event); Lt. Col. Rohit Mishra (Rtd. ), an Indian Army veteran who co-founded an organisation that empowers girls through self-defense and self-confidence
Malavika Avinash, a popular name in the South Indian film and television industry and a dynamic political spokesperson; Ruchir Falodiya, an Alliance University alumnus Vaishnavi H. S., a media professional; and Saiwyn Quadras, scriptwriter for Bollywood films such as Mary
Kom, Neerja and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.

Grand Annual Convocation Ceremony hosted by Alliance University

Alliance University, the first private university of South India gracefully completed its Annual Convocation ceremony at the Central Campus in Anekal, Bengaluru on January 14, 2023. The convocation ceremony was attended by Hon'ble Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan, Pro-Visitor of Alliance University and Minister for Higher Education, IT & BT, Science and Technology, and Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Livelihood of the Government of Karnataka; Justice S. R. Bannurmath, Chairman of the Karnataka Law Commission and Shri. Harshit Singhal, Managing Director of HashedIn by Deloitte, as the guests of honor. The convocation celebrated the graduation of 2445 students. 161 rank holders received medals and merit certificates. 1615 students received degrees, 830 of them received their diplomas and 14 Alliance University students received doctoral degrees.

The ceremony began with a welcome speech by Mr Abhay G. Chebbi, Pro-Chancellor of Alliance University followed by annual reports presentation by Dr. Anubha Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Alliance University. Hon'ble Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan then addressed the graduates urging them to ‘apply their education to improve society’ followed by a speech by Mr. Harshit Singhal, Managing Director of HashedIn by Deloitte. Lastly, Justice S. R. Bannurmath, Chairman of the Karnataka Law Commission, thanked parents, family members, and teachers for their contributions to the graduates' success and encouraged them to seize opportunities and contribute to society.

Alliance University Launches a Flagship Postgraduate Diploma Fellowship Programme- Global Leaders’ Alliance

A new postgraduate diploma fellowship programme was launched at Alliance School of Liberal Arts. The name of the programme is Global Leaders' Alliance. It is a multidisciplinary fellowship programme in the fields of thought and action. The purpose behind the programme is to provide the best possible international education to its students. Alliance School of Liberal Arts received applications for admission to this programme from applicants with nationalities ranging from India, Russia, the US, Ethiopia, and Ghana. The Global Leaders’ Alliance programme is India’s first postgraduate fellowship that will be fully funded. The purpose of the programme is to provide the best possible international education for the most promising minds in India and around the world.  The first cohort of the Global Leaders’ Alliance fellowship programme consisted of around 25 fellow students. They were of different nationalities ranging from the US, Ghana, Ethiopia, Russia and India.

CUET 2024 Performing Arts Syllabus (Released): Check Topics, Pattern, Download PDF

The National Testing Agency has released the CUET 2024 Performing Arts Syllabus. Based on the most recent CUET Performing Arts Syllabus 2024, the syllabus has been divided into four main sections. Section A covers Melodic Vocal and Instrumental Hindustani and Karnataka Music; Section B focuses on to Dance; Section C is aimed to Hindustani and Karnataka Percussion Music; and Section D is given to Drama/Theatre. Candidates may choose one section from each of these options. The CUET UG 2024 official website has the syllabus available for download. The CUET UG 2024 is being conducted on May 15 to May 24, 2024. NTA will conduct 15 test papers in offline mode from May 15 to May 18 and 48 subjects will be held in CBT mode from May 21 to May 24, 2024. As the CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted in 7 days with a single shifts, there would be no normalization process of score. 

Latest Update: The CUET 2024 Admit Card has been made live for the upcoming CUET exams that will be conducted in CBT mode on May 21st, 22nd and 24th, 2024 by the NTA on its official website. NTA has released the admit card of CUET 2024 for three days on the official portal. Candidates are requested to download the CUET 2024 admit card from here and appear in the examination.

Shivaji College CUET UG cutoff 2024 is expected to be 98 percentile for  BA (Hons) Economics, 97 percentile for BA  (Hons) English, and 96 percentile for BA (Hons) Geography. For BSc (Hons) Mathematics the expected Shivaji College CUET UG Cutoff 2024 is 98 percentile for the General Category, 96 percentile for OBC Category, 93 percentile for SC and 84 percentile for the ST category.
