BHU Overview

BHU Varanasi Admission: NTA has announced the CUET UG and PG exam dates for the academic session 2024. The CUET UG will be held from May 15 to May 31. On the other hand, the NTA CUET PG exam dates are March 11 to March 28, 2024. 

The authorities will conduct the BHU entrance exam for B.Pharm and M.Pharm courses on September 24, 2023. Students were suggested to apply for the course after carefully checking the eligibility criteria of their respective courses. 

Banaras Hindu University ranking 2023 as per the World University Ranking falls between the range of 601-800. The university achieved an overall score of 34.0-39.2. According to the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2023, BHU received 38.8 points for teaching, 16.9 points for research, 37.0 points for industry income, 66.0 points for citations, and 20.1 points for international outlook. The Banaras Hindu University NIRF ranking 2023 is 11th overall and 56th in Management. The overall NIRF 2023 score is 62.21, medical is 68.75, and management is 51.07 respectively. The NIRF college ranking for BHU is 18th in the dental category. BHU has been ranked 5th in NIRF ranking 2023 university section. BHU IIRF Ranking 2023 is now available. BHU Admission 2023

The process for BHU admission 2023 can be completed online. Students must visit the official BHU website bhu.ac.in and fill the BHU admission form 2023. The admission process for BA, B.Sc, MA, and M.Sc is similar with minor exceptions. For courses like MBA, M.Phil, PhD, etc. students need to sit for a personal interview after clearing the respective entrance tests. 

BHU admission into UG and PG courses take place through the CUET UG and CUET PG respectively. Hence, students must first aim to clear the CUET before BHU registration. Candidates seeking admission must register for CUET UG/ CUET PG based on their preference. Interested students need to visit the website and check the admission portal for information regarding the admission process of this university. The BHU admission process requires an application fee. The BHU admission fees are Rs 600 for BHU PET for General/ OBC/ NCL/ EWS category students and Rs 400 for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender category students. BHU Scholarships 2023

The university offers a wide range of scholarships to its students. BHU scholarships provide financial assistance to deserving students under the Students’ Welfare Fund. 

Interested students can find the BHU scholarship online form 2023 on the official website. Some of the BHU grants, scholarships and other benefits include:

  • 50 underprivileged students under “Free Meal Facility” will be provided lunch and dinner for 7 months. Female students availing of BHU hostels will be reimbursed for the mess charges.
  • 20 blind students under “Annadaan Yojana” will get free lunch and dinner and also an amount of Rs 5000 PA.
  • Students who are 1st and 2nd rank holders will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 4000 and Rs 300, respectively.
  • An amount of Rs 2000 PA will be granted as financial assistance to students (maximum of 100 students) from an economically weaker background.
  • A one-time grant of Rs 4000 per student is provided to the physically handicapped students (maximum of 25 students) for their entire course.

BHU Campus and Infrastructure

The BHU campus is spread across an area of 1300 acres. It is a lush green campus, well equipped with all the necessary facilities like hostels, library, sports complex, cafeteria, hospital, auditorium, swimming pool, gymnasium, shopping complex, ATM, post office, etc. BHU infrastructure is well maintained with new, improved addition of screening rooms, AV centres, auditoriums, laboratories and indoor & outdoor sports facilities.

  • BHU offers separate hostels for boys and girls. 41 hostels are available for boys and 21 for girls. There are also separate hostels for international students. 
  • Every BHU hostel is equipped with everyday necessities like a water purifier, TV, common room, mess, laundry services, recreation room, security and surveillance system, etc.
  • The BHU library is fully air-conditioned. There is a huge collection of books, journals, magazines, weeklies, both regional and national newspapers, e-books, etc.
  • The university has badminton courts, basketball courts, cricket ground, football ground, squash court, swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, etc.

Overall: College Provide all the basic amenties which each and every studens required for good study. campus are green and clean. Students have the chance to learn under the expert guidance of leading academics.

Placement: Companies and campus recruitment were good. Lots of companies used to come, like TCS, Infosys, Mindtree, Capgemini, HCL, Hexaware, Tech Mahindra, and many others. The average offer was satisfactory.

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is quite good it has all the facilities the library classroom laboratory field and sports ground , we had all the accessibility of the facilities it helped us to enhance our skills

Faculty: The teacher is very helpful and qualified. They all give their number to students if any student has doubt the they can directly call the teacher. The teaching quality is very good.

Hostel: Hostel facilities are like class hotels with geysers. Wi-Fi is available, and the speed is slow but fine. The food served in the mess is not good and not up to the mark. There are separate hostels for both males and females

Faculty: There are about 150 members of faculty which includes various field of medication physiotherapist, druggist, technicians, surgery expert etc. There are very qualified and well mannered doctors

Hostel: College hostel is in aziznagar which is not at all good. The hostel facility is very bad. Students studying in the Kondapur branch does not have any hostel facilities they have to rent an apartment nearby or live in PG's. Overall: The university aims to provide quality education and foster research and innovation among its students. It has modern infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, libraries, and other facilities to support academic and research activities.

Placement: Placements are good in our college. All eligible students got placed with an average salary package of 11 LPA. Our college supports us with placements.

Faculty: Teachers here are highly knowledgeable with good quality of teaching with E-learning. Most part of the course is relevant to the curriculum that makes it easy. Semester exams are held after every 6 months, which are difficult. An internship is necessary for medical students.

Hostel: There are separate hostel for boy and girls. Proper security is available . Rooms of the hostel is quite good and clean. Food of the mess is also very good. medical facilities are available here for 24/7.

Overall: this college is so good the campus is good. They having cooperative environment and supportive staff. you will lot of new technologies and better opportunity for growth

Placement: Placement are done through the placement cell of the university. About 70% of the students got placed in our course. recruiting companies visit our campus for hiring students,internship also offered to the students.

Infrastructure: Infrastructures of the college is so good. They have big library with many books are availble for your help, big classrooms, neat and clean washrooms, cafetaria, Hostel for both boys and girls, sports.

Faculty: Faculty are good enough to elaborate on their subject and have a friendly nature towards students so that students can do something higher and semester exams happen and they are very easy so that everyone can pass them with small preparation and good grades.

Hostel: The hostel is very well structured and has many facilities. It has its own gym,canteen, football and volleyball court. The hostel mess is average,the quality of the food is good

Overall: Full AC campus are there and teacher are very helpful in nature and their providing time to time helping to the student. College is very good and very big college are there and sitting are very nice for the student.

Placement: University works closely with its corporate partners to ensure successful student placement. It has a strong track record of its students securing jobs in leading companies such as Wipro, Amazon, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, and Accenture.

Infrastructure: All facilities are available in my college labs. The class teachers also teach very well to students and they give lots of opportunities to the students for seminars and classes.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and have good knowledge of the subject. They all have great experienced in their fields. Exams are conducted in a good atmosphere and also with strict invigilation

Hostel: The hostels are the sole reason for me giving only 2 stars because 6 students have to share a single room with bunker beds and a western toilet for 6 people.
