Government College of Engineering and Research Pune, also known as GCER Pune, was established by the Government of Maharashtra in 2009. The college offers four-year BE programmes in a total of six specialisations. All the GCER Pune courses are affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). All the GCER Pune courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra. The BE Mechanical Engineering and BE Automobile Engineering programmes are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation up to 2024-25. Admission to its BE programme is offered by the State CET Cell through the CAP rounds. The institute accepts JEE Main and MHT CET scores for admission to its various BE programmes.
