CUET is being administered for the first time as a nationwide entrance test for 90 universities across the country, including 44 central universities, 12 state universities, 13 deemed institutions, and 21 private universities. Both male and female applicants who missed the exam were roughly equally represented among those who did not take it. Only 4,29,228 of the 6,60,333 female test takers who had registered actually took the exam. Female applicants who missed the exam thus represent 35% of the total.
