IIT Kharagpur admission 2024 is ongoing for UG and PG courses. Aspiring B.Tech students are required to qualify for JEE Advanced for admission at IIT Kharagpur. Irrespective of the birthplace of a candidate, the IIT Kharagpur is a good choice for students pursuing B.Tech, M.Tech, and other technical courses. Moreover, the lectures at IIT Kharagpur are taught in English, so there will be no language barrier for a south Indian student.
Overall: First of all, for the people who are reading this if you are planning to join this college, then congrats on getting into one of the best colleges our country could offer, IIT KGP was a dream college of mine, and has lived upto my expectations too
Placement: I always want to remind the placement is dependent on how much you work hard inside the college, I have seen most of my freinds gettinh placed so yeah,many were selected through Google, Microsoft, and one even from IBM, but not all get placed in top companies either, so you have to mind that
Infrastructure: This college has one of the best infrastructure for a engineering college, here they not only have courses of engineering, they even have management courses and medical , they college has been provided with almost everything, from fantastic practical labs to even, amphitheatre, swimming pool
Faculty: The faculty present in kgp has to be one of the best people I have had interaction with, they explain very well, clear doubts too, but most of the time students don't depend on teachers to clarify since here they prefer to sleep study more, so yeah faculty's are extraordinary, but you will still find a lot of people preferring self study as a better option
Hostel: I hope by the point you have written advance exam, and even passed you should not expect to get a 5 star hostel, it is a bit old,but clean you will get 3 sharing room initial in first year, but it cab become a single room in following years so don't worry, yes it is not great as top colleges of other country provide, but at the end of the day it is still wonderfull to live with your friends

Infrastructure: We have well-equipped labs, the largest library central library, and modern classrooms. We have all the facilities regarding sports also as we have 2 cricket and football grounds, 1 hockey ground, badminton courts, table tennis, basketball and tennis courts, athletics ground etc.
Faculty: The faculty of IIT Kharagpur are not just knowledgeable professors they are passionate mentors who ignite a love for learning. They push you beyond your comfort zone and guide you towards achieving your full potential.
Hostel: As a resident of Nehru Hall in IIT Kharagpur, I have a lot of memories. The hall culture is very good as seniors help us whenever needed. my unforgettable memory is Illumination during Diwali in our Hall.
Overall: I entered iit through JEE Advanced 2023 and it's been a great experience so far, smart people, there are every type of people here and a lot to learn. The campus is very good.
Placement: The placement in higher branches like CSE, ECE, EE, MNC is pretty very great and is generally above 90+%. Other branches also have good placement but relatively lower than the above mentioned ones.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very very good and I would say it's the best Infrastructure among all iits. Campus of this size is very hard to maintain but iit kgp does that pretty well.
Faculty: Faculties here have so much experience and have a very good background. They are very approachable. While some faculties might not be good but most of them are great and fun to interact with.
Hostel: Hostel system of IIT KGP is very good. I am in MMM Hall in IIT Kharagpur. The food is not that great but the infrastructure of this hostel is very good.
Overall: It has been a great journey at IIT Kharagpur. Learned a lot and made a lot of friends. The experience I had here at IIT Kharagpur has laid basis for a better future for myself.
Placement: The placement record of IIT Kharagpur has always been great. Many students are able to get placements on the initial days itself. Even the internship opportunities at my college are innumerable.
Infrastructure: The buildings of Kharagpur mainly consist of The Main Building, Nalanda. The main building consists of most of the departmental buildings.Nalanda can be consider as a building of classrooms.
Faculty: The faculty is nice and very helpful in nature. They will always try to help the students as much as possible.The academic knowledge is also very high.
Hostel: My hall has been Lal Bahadur Shastri Hall of Residence. It has four floors and each room can accomodate three people. Most of my friends are from my hall. There are various other halls as well. There are approximately 22 halls in IIT Kharagpur.
