MDU Rohtak PhD Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Ph.D. program at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, candidates must possess a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale. A relaxation of 5% is available for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories as per UGC guidelines. Eligibility includes clearing the university's entrance test for Ph.D. admissions. However, candidates with UGC/CSIR (JRF) examinations/NET/SLET/GATE or have passed M.Phil. are exempt from the entrance test but must attend the interview.
