As per the Pondicheery University admission notification 2023, the National Testing Agency has announced the CUET UG 2024 exam dates. Candidates planning to take the CUET 2024 exam should be aware that it will be held from May 15 to May 31, 2023. Cited below is an approximate timetable for CUET 2024.

 As per the official notice released by NTA, a total of 4,58,774 candidates registered for the exam. Out of these, a total of 2,09,740 were male candidates, 2,49,332 were female candidates and 11 of them were transgender candidates.

• For admission to Integrated MA / Integrated MSc, candidates must have completed class 12 with a minimum of 50% in the appropriate subject group from a recognised board.

Pondicherry University Admission Process 2023

According to the Pondicherry University admission process, PhD candidates must fulfil the following criteria: 

• Candidates must have received at least 55% in the required disciplines (without rounding off) in their master's degree from universities/ institutions accredited by the UGC/AICTE/NCTE to be considered for this programme.
• Candidates who have been shortlisted will then need to take the Pondicherry University PhD admission exam. Candidates who passed the entrance exam will be invited to a personal interview round for further consideration. The entrance exam is waived for candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship. Such candidates are eligible to apply for the interview on the spot. The final merit list is compiled using a combination of entrance tests, interviews, and academic record scores.

All full-time scholars accepted into the university departments' PhD programmes will be entitled to a monthly fellowship of Rs 8000 with contingency. All M.Sc Marine Biology and Disaster Management (Port Blair) students will get a scholarship. Deserving students in PG degree programmes, M.Sc/MA five year integrated programmes can apply for merit scholarships and merit-cum-means scholarships. All differently abled students receive a completely free education.

Pondicherry University Merit Scholarship 

• The top three applicants with the highest percentage of P.G. marks. For the first semester, students who pass the admission entrance exams will be eligible for merit scholarships worth INR 2,000, 1,500, and 1,000 each month. Scholarships are awarded based on performance on the entrance examination.
• The merit scholarship will be provided to the first three candidates who received the highest marks in the previous semester for the following semesters at the same rate of 2,000, 1,500, and 1,000 each month (SGPA).

Pondicherry University Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

• The University awards MCM Scholarships to 20% of students in each P.G. degree programme. The scholarship is awarded based on the student's academic performance (SGPA) and parental income. The parents' annual income should not exceed Rs 2,50,000.
• The scholarship amount is Rs 750 per month. Pondicherry University scholarships are awarded based on entrance exam scores for the first semester. Furthermore, candidates must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for a scholarship: 
  • At least 70% of the monthly attendance should be achieved.
  • Must submit all papers scheduled for each semester. 
  • The Head of the Department in question certifies that conditions I and ii have been met.
• M.Sc in Marine Biology and Disaster Management Scholarship: All approved candidates will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,000 to attend these courses in Port Blair, Andamans.
• Pondicherry University M.Tech Computational Biology Scholarship: All accepted students will get a monthly scholarship of Rs 12,500.
