Dear Student,

According to the eligibility criteria specified by the exam conducting body, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB), to be deemed eligible for appearing in the JENPAS 2025 Entrance Exam it is mandatory for all students to secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their 10+2, in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English combined. While a 62% score in the 10+2 or its equivalent is an excellent score to be able to appear for the upcoming JENPAS UG 2025 Entrance Exam, you are also required to pass the above-mentioned core subjects individually with the required passing marks to be deemed eligible for the same. On the other hand, admission to Medical Laboratory Technology after successfully qualifying the JENPAS 2025 Entrance Exam is possible only for those students who meet the list of eligibility criteria for the admission procedure. Therefore, if a student fails to appear for the JENPAS 2025 Entrance Exam, they will not be deemed eligible for registration into Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Course admissions. Thus, to answer your query, if you've failed in Physics in your 10+2 but have successfully secured a 62% in overall, you still may not be eligible for appearing in the JENPAS 2025 Entrance Exam for MLT course admission. However, you may still participate in the application process of JENPAS 2025 to try your luck, and give it a shot.

Thank you.

Dear Student,

The JENPAS UG 2024 Counselling is ongoing. The Mop-Up Round of JENPAS UG 2024 Counselling began on September 27, 2024, and is being conducted till October 4, 2024. According to the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB), the JENPAS UG Choice-Filling process which is conducted separately in each round of counselling, allows participating candidates to enter their choices of medical institutions and lock them on time.

Candidates are eligible to fill in multiple choices during this period based on the seat matrix of the participating colleges. After the choices are filled by the candidates, they are required to participate in the Choice-Locking process to confirm their preferences. In the Choice-Locking process, candidates may either edit their choices or change their order of preference, and submit the same to confirm their candidature for admission into the selected list of colleges. However, if any candidate fails to confirm their choices during the Choice-Locking process within the specified time frame, the details entered by them during the Choice-Filling process will be automatically locked and confirmed by the counselling authority. Therefore, to answer your query, yes, there is a provision of automatic Choice-Locking in case a candidate does not submit their choices from their end.

Thank you

Dear Student,

With a rank of 1865 in JENPAS (GMR) and 346 in OBC candidate category, you are eligible to apply for admission into other government colleges as well, apart from the WBUHS Kalyani. To be eligible for seat allocation at a different government Nursing college, candidates are required to apply in the 2nd round of the JENPAS counselling and participate in the Choice-Filling process. During the Choice-Filling process, depending on the seat availability of the participating colleges, candidates are required to enter their choice of colleges in order of preference. Once the Choice-Filling process concludes, the seat allotment results will be published based on the Choice-Filling process. Some of the top colleges offering admission to candidates with a 1865 rank in JENPAS exam are Peerless Institute of Nursing, West Bengal Government College of Nursing, Bengal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Belur Sramajibi Swashtya Prakalpa Samiti, B.P. Poddar and Parvati Devi Academy of Nursing, Apollo Gleneagles Nursing College, Anandalok Institute of Nursing Education, and many others.
