COVID-19 brought about its own set of challenges in the education sector. When SHEAT realized that they would have to deal with the impact of the health crisis for a long time, they formed a COVID-19 task force and found a flexible approach to the problem. The task force included members from the administration, faculty, and student union representatives. It focused on how to manage the day-to-day operations and scenario planning while looking ahead to the long-term impact.

The faculty made themselves present at the institute regularly and conducted online classes, to give a classroom-like feel to the students. The students and faculty were quick to adapt to the new normal and switch to online education. SHEAT offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programmes. SHEAT Group of Institutions admission to UG courses is based on the JEE Main/Direct, and UPSEE exams and done through their respective. SHEAT admission to PG courses is offered based on the SHEAT UPSEE, CAT, MAT, GPAT, GATE & PGCET followed by a personal interview. As per the SHEATGroup of Institutions PG admission criteria, 50% of the total seats are filled based on the merit of the qualifying exam and the remaining seats are filled based on rank in the entrance test.
