About SIKKIM MANIPAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, popularly known as SMIT, is a constituent college under the umbrella of Sikkim Manipal University. The college was established in 1997 to provide various engineering, management, basic sciences, and computer applications courses to aspirants. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A+’ grade and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
The SMIT courses list includes some of the most popular professional and degree courses such as B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral Entry), M.Tech, MBA, BBA, MCA, BCA, B.Sc, and M.Sc in a wide variety of specialisations. All these courses are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The SMIT campus is located in Rangpo, Sikkim. It has all the basic facilities and amenities, including classrooms, labs, a library, hostels, a sports complex, wi-fi connectivity, medical facilities, an ATM, etc. SMIT placements are also very good with a placement rate of more than 95%.
