New Research Published on Leptogenesis and Dark Matter Production - A collaborative study by Dr. Basabendu, Dr. Amit Chakraborty, and Mr. Arindam Basu from the Department of Physics at SRM University-AP has been published in Physical Review D. The paper, titled 'Testing leptogenesis and dark matter production during reheating with primordial gravitational waves', explores the generation of baryon asymmetry and dark matter during an extended reheating period after inflation. The research investigates various decay processes of the inflaton field and their implications for cosmic events, providing insights into fundamental questions about the early universe. Workshop on IPR & Commercialisation Awareness - A workshop on 'IPR & Commercialization Awareness' was organised jointly by the Technology Transfer Cell and the Office of Dean Research. The session was led by Dr Puneeta Arora, Founder of AvidInvent, a registered Indian Patent Agent, and a seasoned expert in patent law and innovation strategy. The event aimed to raise awareness on the protection of Intellectual Property Rights among researchers. The workshop commenced with an introduction to the fundamentals of IPR and the importance of protecting innovations with mechanisms like design registration, copyrights, patents, and more. Dr Arora emphasized protecting innovations from the ideation stage and discussed the filing of provisional patents. She provided a step-by-step breakdown of the Indian patent application workflow, along with an explanation of PCT and Conventional Applications for researchers looking to file patents abroad. The session addressed crucial aspects of patentability, such as the importance of novelty, the concept of non-patentable subject matter, prior art, and obviousness, contextualized with real-world examples. Additionally, a dedicated segment on IPR in the life sciences was held, focusing on elements specific to agriculture, wellness, medical sciences, etc., with the help of case studies. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where Dr Arora discussed participants' personal research projects and potential IP applications. Dr Arora was felicitated by Prof. Ranjit Thapa, Dean Research, in recognition of her invaluable contributions. The workshop encouraged participants and raised awareness on IPR, patent literacy, and commercialisation strategies.

SRM University offers admissions to various UG, PG and doctoral courses. The eligibility requirements are different for each course offered by the university. To seek SRM University admissions, the candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements. There are various other entrance exams such as JEE Mains, CAT, GMAT, SRMJEEE which are accepted by the university for admissions. After meeting eligibility requirements, candidates must apply for admissions through the official university website. After filling up the particulars, candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 1,100 through online mode.
The SRM University placement cell is working regularly to ensure that all the students get jobs at the end of their degree. In the year 2021, 100% placement and internship placements were recorded by the university. The placement drive for the year 2024 is still in the process and the data will be released soon. The highest salary package for the year 2023 was Rs 50 Lakh per annum and the lowest package was recorded at Rs 8.54 LPA.
SRM University Amravati cutoff 2024 for UG courses is released. The examination will be conducted from May- June, and the results will be announced on July, 2025. After the results are announced, a merit list will be published, and candidates will be invited to CUET UG counselling based on their placement on this list. So it is crucial for candidates to meet the SRM University Amravati cutoff to get shortlisted for admissions. The CUET PG 2024 results have also been released by the NTA, at cuet.nta.nic.in.
SRM University AP courses list comprises various graduate and postgraduate courses across three streams namely the School of Engineering And Sciences, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and School of Entrepreneurship and Management Studies. Courses offered at SRM AP School of Engineering And Sciences include B.Tech, B.Sc Major, and M.Tech programmes under various specialisations. Similarly, SRM University AP courses at School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences include B.Com and BA courses under various specialisations. Finally, SRM School of Entrepreneurship and Management Studies comprise of BBA and MBA under various specialisation. Candidates need to meet the SRM University AP eligibility criteria first and foremost before moving to the subsequent admission process for all the courses. The SRM University AP fees for all the courses vary from one another, candidates need to pay the same as the final step of the admission process.

Generally, the cutoff rank for B.Tech Mechatronics goes up to 42000 in SRMJEEE exam. However, to ensure admission to the main SRM KTR Chennai campus, a rank of 37000 may not be enough for such competitive engineering programmes. We suggest you try out other SRM campuses and list of courses for SRMJEEE rank 20000 to 40000 during the counselling sessions to ensure admission.
