Ph.D Scholarship

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Mumbai scholarship schemes aim to make research more affordable and accessible to the students admitted to the institution. It provides several fellowship programs and financial assistance schemes so that scholars can pursue research without any financial constraints.

Ph.D. Students receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 25,000/- (enhanced to Rs 28,000/- after registration).
Integrated-Ph.D. Students receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 16,000/- for the first year. Upon satisfactory performance at the end of the first year, the fellowship is enhanced to Rs 25,000/- per month (further raised to Rs 28,000/- after registration for Ph.D.).

M.Sc. (Biology ) Students receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 12000/-.

Unfortunately, TIFR Mumbai does not offer any programme in management. So, doing a PhD in Management from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is impossible. TIFR Mumbai is a premier institute for research and education in the fundamental sciences. However, there are several other top-ranked institutes in India that offer PhD programs in Management. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research does not offer undergraduate courses. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research offers M.Sc, PhD and M.Sc + PhD.
