Thakur School of Architecture and Planning, also known as TSAP Mumbai, is a Mumbai-based private architecture and design school. The institution was established in 2014 by the Thakur Education Group out of the need for a pioneering architecture institution in the region. TSAP Mumbai currently operates under the guidance of the Zagdu Singh Charitable Trust, a trust founded by the Thakur Family.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognises TSAP Mumbai under Section 2f of the UGC Act, 1956. In addition, the institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Council for Architecture (CoA), and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of Maharashtra. It also holds ISO 9001 : 2015 certification, testifying to its reliable quality management system. Moreover, TSAP Mumbai is affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
TSAP Mumbai offers industry-oriented B.Arch and B.Voc (Interior Design) programmes to produce highly-skilled and competent design professionals. TSAP Mumbai courses are designed following all the necessary rules and regulations to ensure optimal learning outcomes. Moreover, it has formed academic collaborations with leading national-level institutions like IIT Bombay, College of Engineering Pune, and Centre for Development Studies and Activities (CDSA), among many others, to offer certified programmes. In addition, over six international universities have visited the TSAP Mumbai campus for collaborations. TSAP Mumbai also organises workshop-based study tours to introduce students to hands-on training with industry experts.
Thakur School of Architecture and Planning has tied up with Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona (ESTAB) for the development of academic cooperation in international studies.
