VIT Pune, also known as Vishwakarma Institute of Technology,  is an autonomous engineering institute in Pune established in 1983. The institute is financed and run by the Bansilal Ramnath Agrawal Charitable Trust, Pune. It was granted autonomous status in the academic year 2008-09 and will enjoy this status up to 2030. It has also been selected for the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

VIT Pune courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and are affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The institute was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A++ grade in 2018 valid for the next five years and by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). As per the NIRF Rankings 2022, the institute ranked 142nd in the engineering category. It also has the ISO 9001 : 2015 by BSI, India.

VIT Pune offers a total of nine B.Tech programmes, three M.Tech programmes, and three PhD programmes. A three-year MCA programme is the latest addition to the VIT Pune courses list. VIT Pune Admissions 2023: MHT CET 2023 results are out now. VIT Pune accepts MHT CET scores for B.Tech admissions.

The VIT Pune admission process is an entrance-test-based process. Therefore, applicants need to appear for the prescribed entrance test exam to participate in the VIT Pune selection process. Students also must ensure that they meet the VIT Pune eligibility criteria to be eligible for the admission process. VIT Pune admissions for B.Tech, M.Tech, and MCA are conducted by the Maharashtra State CET Cell as per the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra.

VIT Pune Application Process 2023

Applicants can submit the VIT Pune applications online using the online application form on its official website. For interested students, below is the detailed VIT Pune application process.

Step 1: Go to the VIT Pune official website and click on the ‘Admissions’ tab.

Step 2: Click on the course option from the menu to access the VIT Pune online application form.

Step 3: Fill out the application with all relevant details and submit it by paying the VIT Pune application fee.
