AP LAWCET 2024 Cutoff

AP LAWCET cutoff marks 2024 will be the minimum marks that a candidate must score to get shortlisted by various  AP LAWCET 2024 participating colleges. The cutoff will be released a few days after the AP LAWCET result declaration. The participating colleges will use the AP LAWCET cutoff score to screen out qualified and deserving candidates from a large pool of test-takers. The exam date is June 9, 2024.

The candidates who successfully place themselves on the AP LAWCET cutoff list will be eligible for the AP LAWCET 2024 counselling where they will have to fill their preferred college of admission. Based on the result of AP LAWCET 2024 cutoff marks and counselling, a merit list of AP LAWCET will be created and then the shortlisted candidates will be called up for admission and seat allotment process.

Candidates qualifying for AP LAWCET 2024 can secure a seat in their desired law courses namely BA.LLB, B.Com LLB and a five-year integrated law programme. The candidates who could not clear the AP LAWCET 2024 cut-off will be disqualified from the admission process. However, these students can participate in the mop-up round if some seats are vacant after the counselling round.

Factors Determining AP LAWCET 2024 Cutoff

The AP LAWCET cutoff 2024 depends on the law college, the courses selected by the students and the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance test. The participating colleges will separately release the cut-off scores. The following factors will play a determinant role in deciding the cutoff scores for AP LAWCET 2024:

  • Total number of candidates appearing for the entrance test.
  • The total number of candidates clearing the entrance test.
  • The difficulty level of the question paper.
  • The total number of available seats for admission to the 3-year and 5-year LL.B programmes.
  • Reservation policy of the law colleges.
  • College Preference of the candidates.
  • The gender of the student (separate cut-offs are released for male and female candidates).
  • The cut-off trends of the previous year's exam. 

Difference between AP LAWCET 2024 Qualifying Marks and Cutoff

Usually, it is seen that the students are confused between the AP LAWCET 2024 qualifying marks and the cut-off, but both are different. They are explained as follows:

AP LAWCET 2024 Qualifying Marks 

  • It is the minimum mark that the students must get to pass or qualify the entrance exam.
  • The qualifying marks are released before the entrance exam is conducted.
  • Usually, the qualifying marks are fixed as long as there is a change in the total number of questions or total marks of the exam. 

AP LAWCET 2024 Cutoff or Admission Cutoff
