Predict NowThe eligibility criteria of CG PET 2024 are the necessary conditions that every candidate has to fulfill in order to appear for the CG PET 2024 exam. Candidates must check the CG PET eligibility criteria 2024 before filling out the CG PET application form 2024. Only those candidates who fulfill CG PET eligibility criteria will be able to take part in the CG PET admission process. CG PET 2024 eligibility criteria comprise of age, domicile, qualifying examination, passing marks and other requirements. Below is the detailed eligibility criteria of CG PET 2024:
Nationality:
The candidate should be a citizen of India.
The candidate should be a resident of Chhattisgarh and should have a domicile of the state.
For Engineering:
Candidates should have passed class 12 from a school affiliated to Chhattisgarh or equivalent board.
Candidate should have qualified in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and one of the Technical vocational subjects in the qualifying exam.
The minimum marks for the General category is 45% and 40% for the Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH).
For Agricultural Engineering:
Candidates should be above 17 years of age on 31st December of the admission year.
Candidates should have passed class 12 from a school affiliated to Chhattisgarh or equivalent board.
The minimum marks for the General category is 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English and 40% in Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH).
Candidates appearing in the final exam are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.
For Dairy Technology:
The candidate should be above 17 years of age as of 31st December 2023.
The candidate should have passed class 12 from a school affiliated to Chhattisgarh or equivalent board.
The minimum marks for the General category is 50% marks in PCM+ English and 40% for the Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH).
Candidates appearing for final exams are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

Candidates should have qualified CG PET.
Candidates who clear JEE Mains are also considered eligible for prescribed seats for the same.

The difficulty level of CG PET exam will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying examination since the syllabus will be similar. Candidates will be assessed on their knowledge of topics from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
Candidates appearing for CG PET should pass in all the three subjects: Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects from Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Chemistry with at least 45% marks. The minimum percentage of marks fixed for the SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates is 40%.
Candidates appearing for CG PET must be a citizen of India and must not be less than 17 years of age, while the upper age limit is 30 years. Candidates must also belong to the State of Chattisgarh.
