The official notification of CLAT 2023 exam date was released earlier in November 2021. This year, CLAT has been preponed significantly as the exam was usually held in the months of May - June in the previous years. CLAT 2023 will be conducted on December 18, 2022.

CLAT is conducted for candidates seeking admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes such as the five-year integrated courses of BA LL.B, BBA LL.B, B.Com LL.B, B.Sc LL.B and LL.M law courses offered at 22 NLUs. CLAT will be a comprehension-based paper where the legal aptitude, skills, and knowledge of an individual are tested.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the entrance exam basically conducted for admission National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.

While CLAT scores are also accepted for admission by many other law colleges in India, it is not necessary to appear for CLAT for BA LLB admissions.
