KCET clearly states that the student must have at least 7years of studies in Karnataka. But to get into Karnataka colleges you can attempt JEE Main or COMEDK. COMEDK gets you into the same college as KCET but there are a lesser number of colleges and the fee is higher comparatively. But if you have special categories like Defence you might be exempted. Read the KCET Eligibility Criteria once to check your eligibility.
