The full form of NCHMCT JEE is the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam. Conducted at a national level by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NCHMCT JEE exam is administered annually on behalf of the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology to offer admission to undergraduate courses such as BSc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration). The BSc (HHA) is a three-year undergraduate course which is offered by NCHMCT jointly in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The score of NCHMCT JEE is accepted by all the participating Institutes for granting admission to the BSc (HHA) courses.
The candidates must target the desired college for admission as there are about 21 central IHMs, 25 state IHMs, 1 PSU IHM, and 27 Private IHMs that are affiliated with NCHMCT. All these institutes offer BSc (HHA) courses and the admission is based on the scores obtained in the exam. The questions are asked in both English and Hindi language. The NCHMCT JEE exam duration is three hours having multiple choice question patterns. A total of 200 questions are asked from different sections such as Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, and Aptitude for Service Sector.
