NEET MDS Result 2025: Tie-Breaking Criteria

Here is the list of tie-breaking criteria that is kept in mind for NEET MDS 2025 Result:

  • Candidates with a higher number of incorrect answers in both Part A and B of the exam shall be placed at a lower merit position in comparison to others.

  • Candidates who have scored higher in Part B of the exam will be placed at a higher merit position in comparison to others.

  • Candidates with a higher number of incorrect answers in Part B of the question paper will be placed at a lower merit position in comparison to others.

  • If none of the above works, the final result will be decided on the basis of the date of birth of the candidates. The older candidate shall be placed at a higher merit position in comparison to others.

What After NEET MDS 2025 result?

Once the NEET MDS Result 2025 is published, the candidates eligible for admission to MDS courses are advised to apply to various postgraduate dental colleges across India. The admission process for MDS courses across postgraduate dental colleges is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Therefore, candidates must register themselves on the official DGHS portal for the admission process, and participate in the following counselling process for MDS courses in various dental colleges. During the counselling process, candidates are required to exercise their choice filling and locking of colleges and courses, after which seat allotment will be based on merit. Lastly, selected candidates are required to report to their allotted college for admission after successfully passing the document verification. However, the candidates need to keep all their original documents ready fir the document verification to avoid any misinformation during the counseling process.
