In the event of candidates achieving identical scores in NID DAT 2024 Prelims, the following tie-break policy will be implemented to determine their merit ranks.
The higher rank will be awarded to the candidate who has scored higher marks in NID DAT Mains.
If this tie does not break, then a higher rank will be awarded to the candidate with higher marks in NID DAT Prelims (Stage 1).
If this tie does not break, then the higher rank will be given to the candidate who has scored higher marks in NID DAT Prelims (Stage 1) Part B.
If this tie does not break, then a higher rank will be given to the candidate with higher marks in NID DAT Prelims (Stage 1) Part A.
If the tie continues, a higher rank will be given to the candidate who has got higher marks in the NID DAT Mains exam which carries maximum marks.
It should be noted that the NID tie-breaker for B.Des/GDPD has been changed. Mentioned below is the revised tie-breaker policy for the courses.
A better rank will be offered to the candidate who has acquired better marks in NID DAT (Mains).
If the pointer mentioned above does not break the tie, a higher rank must be assigned to the aspirant who has bagged higher marks in the NID DAT 2024 (Prelims).
If the tie still persists, a better rank will be provided to the candidate who has obtained better marks in Part 2 of the NID DAT Prelims Test.
If the tie continues, a higher rank will be offered to the aspirant who has secured higher total marks in question numbers 25,26 and 27 in Part 2 of the NID DAT Prelims Test.
If the tie does not break, a better rank will be provided to the candidate who has secured higher marks in question number 25 in Part 2 of the NID DAT Prelims Test.
Note: The scores obtained in the NID DAT 2024 exam cannot be used by any person/institution without the prior permission of NID.
