Only 6% of the total UGC NET exam takers will be selected after all the applicants have appeared in both the papers of NET.
The total number of vacancies will be distributed to the test-takers from different categories according to the Government of India’s reservation policy.
The general category candidates, who appear in both of the papers, must secure a minimum of 40% aggregate in both the papers combined in order to be considered for selection into the Assistant Professor or JRF posts. For OBC-NCL/SC/ST/Transgender/PwD category candidates, the minimum aggregate will dip to 35% combining both papers.
