Applicants satisfying any of the following conditions will be exempted from taking the VTUEEE 2024 entrance examination:
Students who scored the first rank in 10+2 in the exams conducted by the respective States will be given admission directly into the course of their choice but subject to eligibility with 100% scholarship including the tuition fee and hostel fee for the entire course duration.
Candidates who failed to appear for VTUEEE 2024 on the date of the exam for any reason including loss of the hall ticket/application form in transit. Reexamination will not be held and the schedule once announced will not be changed.
Only those candidates who have appeared for VTUEEE 2024 and have been admitted to any of the B.Tech programmes are eligible for Mahatma Gandhi National Merit Scholarship.

Candidates who have cleared Class 12 or any equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Institute are eligible to apply. Candidates who are scheduled to appear in Class 12 or any equivalent examination in March/April/May 2024 may also apply. To be considered for the Mahatma Gandhi National Merit Scholarship, the state or union territory in which the candidate has studied and taken the qualifying examination (12th standard examination of the State or Central Board) will be considered as the candidate's state of belonging, regardless of the candidate's actual nativity being in another state or union territory.
To be eligible for direct admission without VTUEEE, one must either have a Diploma in the relevant discipline awarded by the Tamil Nadu State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent or hold a Science degree (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject in the Higher Secondary (10+2+3 stream).
Information Technology, Biotechnology Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Automobile Engineering are some of the courses offered through VTUEEE.
