WB ANM & GNM Eligibility Criteria 2024 are defined by the conducting authorities, i.e. the Dept. of H&FW, Govt. of West Bengal). WB ANM & GNM Entrance Exam 2024 is a gateway for candidates to seek admission into ANM and GNM colleges in West Bengal. It is held once a year. WB ANM & GNM Exam is going to be conducted on July 14, 2024. The WB ANM GNM Admit Card will be released on July 5, 2024.  Candidates must ensure that they meet the WB ANM & GNM eligibility criteria, which include gender, educational qualifications, and age limit, to participate in the WB ANM & GNM 2024.

Applicants must be Indian citizens.

Lower Age Limit

The applicant must be at least 17 years old as of 31/12/2024.

Upper Age Limit

The maximum age limit for the WB ANM & GNM Entrance Exam is 35 Years as of 31/12/2024.

Educational Qualification

The applicant must have passed or be expected to sit for the class 12th examination as per the 10+2 system in 2024.

  • Both males and females can apply for General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course.

  • No Upper Age Limit for ANM except for West Bengal State Government Employees

Education Qualification

  • Passed 10+2 with English as the main subject
  • Passed 10+2 with minimum 40% aggregate marks and 40% marks in English Or

  • Must be registered ANM with a pass mark. Or

  • Passed 10+2 in Vocational Stream with English as the main subject with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks.

Work Experience

  • Not Required
  • 3 Years of Registered ANM work experience is required

Residence

  • Permanent Resident in West Bengal for at least 5 Years.

  • And she must be a permanent resident in Gram Panchayet.

  • Permanent Resident in West Bengal for at least 5 Years.

Language Fluency

  • Candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate in the Bengali and Nepal languages.

Medical Fitness

  • Produce Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of admission.

WB ANM & GNM 2024 eligibility criteria include passing the high school with minimum marks defined by the conducting body. This minimum marks varies for different categories. The required qualifying percentage is mentioned below:

As per the official information bulletin that is published by the WBJEEB regarding WB ANM & GNM 2024 Exam, students need to be able to read, express, and write English, Bengali, or Nepali languages. Aspirants have the option to choose from Bengali or English languages.
Students who will choose to give the WB ANM & GNM 2024 exam in Bengali, will be provided with a bilingual question paper booklet that will contain questions both in English and Bengali languages. In case of any mistake in interpretation, the meaning of the question in English will be considered final.
