SSC CGL 2022 Tier 1 Day 1 exam is being conducted on December 1, 2022. The exam is being conducted in 4 shifts. We have listed here the detailed paper analysis, reaction of the students, memory-based question papers, and answer key.
SSC CGL 1st December 2022 Paper Analysis

SSC CGL 2022 1st December 2022 exam marked the beginning of the tier 1 exam. The exam is being conducted online mode. The total duration of the exam is 1 hour (60 minutes). The question paper consists of multiple sections including General Intelligence and Reasoning; General Awareness; Quantitative Aptitude; and English Comprehension. The total score for the SSC CGL 1st December 2022 exam is 200 marks for 100 questions. For each section, there are 25 questions for 50 marks. As per SSC CGL 2022 marking scheme, 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Here are the major highlights of Shift 1 SSC CGL 1st December 2022 analysis basis of the first reactions of students.
  • As per the reaction of students, the SSC CGL Shift 1 exam paper was easy to moderate

  • The pattern of the paper was slightly different from the previous year

  • The section on General Knowledge (Current Affairs) had the majority of the questions from historical events, autobiography, temples and festivals, Articles and Acts

  • While the Reasoning section was easy in nature, some students found the GS section a bit tricky

  • The Static GK part covered 4-5 questions

  • The Current Affairs section had 6-7 questions, of which the majority were based on Polices

  • Very few questions, approximately 3-4, were covered from History

  • The English section covered questions based on Class 10 level topics

  • The Arithmetic section was easy to attempt featuring questions from Percentage, Algebra, Geometry and Mensuration, Time & Work

  • 5 questions were asked from the Data Interpretation part

Here are the major highlights of Shift 2 SSC CGL 1st December 2022 analysis basis of the first reactions of students.

  • The overall difficulty level of the SSC CGL Shift 2 exam 2022 was easy to moderate. 

  • Some students stated that the Shift 2 paper was relatively easier than the first shift except for the Quantitative and Reasoning portions. 

  • The Reasoning section was of moderate level. The questions were mostly calculative in nature.

  • The Quantitative Aptitude section was calculative and time-consuming in nature.

  • Vocabulary section was very easy to attempt. Questions were based on Synonyms, Idioms and Phrases. 

  • No questions were asked on Historical Events in Shift 2.

  • The Static GK section covered more questions than the Current Affairs section.

Major Highlights of SSC CGL 1st December 2022 Shift 3 Analysis - First Reaction

Here are the major highlights of Shift 3 SSC CGL 1st December 2022 analysis basis of the first reactions of students.

  • The difficulty level of the Shift 3 paper was easy to moderate.

  • The paper pattern was the same as the previous two shifts.

  • The majority of the questions asked were basic and direct. No tricky questions were asked. 

  • Students found the Quantitative Aptitude section easy to moderate

  • 2-3 questions were asked on Current Affairs in the General Knowledge section.

  • Questions covered in the Mathematics part were very basic. Most of the questions were asked from Number System, Profit & Loss, SI & CI that are formula-based. 

  • For the Shift 3 paper, the average number of questions attempted (good attempts) by students is 70-80

  • Candidates found the GS portion easy to attempt.

  • The English section was very easy to attempt. Most of the questions were based on previous year's question papers. 

  • Questions in Shift 3 were asked from Advance Mathematics while the first two shifts had questions on Arithmetic.

  • Questions based on Rivers were asked in the Shift 3 paper. The earlier two shifts had no questions on the topic.

Major Highlights of SSC CGL 1st December 2022 Shift 4 Analysis - First Reaction

Here are the major highlights of Shift 4 SSC CGL 1st December 2022 analysis basis of the first reactions of students.

  • The difficulty level of the SSC CGL 2022 Shift 4 exam was easy to moderate.

  • The overall exam paper was relatively easy than the first three shifts.

  • All the questions and topics asked were from the syllabus.

  • Some of the topics that were not covered in the earlier shifts were asked in the Shift 3 paper.

  • The Reasoning portion was easy to attempt as most of the questions were straightforward. Topics that were covered were Blood Relations and Syllogism, Mirror Image and Paper Cutting etc. 

  • The Quantitative Aptitude section featured a good number of questions from Trigonometry and Arithmetic.

  • The majority of the questions asked in the GK section were based on Current Affairs. Fewer questions were covered from Polity and Static GK.

  • The easiest of the four sections was the English Language & Comprehension part featuring a good number of questions on Cloze Test, Para Jumbles, Active and Passive Voice etc.

  • The average good attempts by candidates in Shift 3 were comparatively higher than in the earlier shifts. Students stated attempting 80+ questions overall.
