PSEB 10th Exam Pattern 2023-24 has been released on the official website at pseb.ac.in. As per the latest PSEB 10th Exam Pattern 2023-24, students will have to appear for 8 subjects out of which it is mandatory to pass in 6 subjects from Group A and compulsory to appear in 2 subjects of Group B. A total weightage of 650 marks has been allotted to the exam and students will have to score a minimum of 33% marks in total theory, practical, and INA. In theory of each subject, students will have to obtain a minimum of 25%.
Each subject carries a weighted average of 100 marks, of which 80 pertain to theory and the remaining 20 to practical and internal assessments. However, the examination for Punjabi or Punjab History and Culture consists of two parts, Paper A and Paper B, each of which has a total weight of 75 marks, of which 65 are for theory and 10 are for practical and internal assessments. The exam time is 3 hours for all the subjects. Based on the PSEB 10th exam pattern, the subjects to be studied in class 10 are Punjabi/Punjab History and Culture, English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Health Education, and Computer Science as well as the elective subjects. Each student will have to appear for a total of 8 subjects out of which it is compulsory to pass all the subjects from Group A. Group A subjects include:
