18-Year-Old Boy from Hyderabad Gets INR 1.3 Cr Scholarship from Case Western Reserve University

Vedant Anandwade, an 18-year-old from Hyderabad, has been awarded an INR 1.3 crore scholarship from USA’s Case Western Reserve University, where he will be pursuing his pre-med in neuroscience and psychology.

An 18-year-old from Hyderabad, Vedant Anandwade has earned a scholarship worth INR 1.3 crore from Case Western Reserve University in the USA. The scholarship will cover the costs of studying pre-med in Neuroscience and Psychology at the university, which proudly boasts of producing 17 Nobel Laureates to date.

While speaking to the media, it was revealed that Vedant had participated in a climate competition challenge, following which Vedant will be heading to Paris in November, where he would be pitching solutions to the jury at UNESCO.

He further highlighted that Vedant had been dreaming of pursuing his dreams abroad ever since 8th grade. In 10th grade, Vedant was introduced to Dexterity global. It was at this moment that he started to look for colleges and counsellors to prepare and get into one of his dream colleges, which, subsequently led him to take up a 3-month career development programme at the age of 16.

Vedant attributed these steps as the major reason why he was selected into Case Western Reserve University, where he will be studying neuroscience. He further added that the assignments given at Dex school every week boosted his confidence and independence.

He stated the students in the school were encouraged to take up monthly assignments in the form of opportunities and quiz competitions. In one such event, his team from Dexterity were able to win the climate competition.

In his concluding statements, Vedant stated urged students to focus on both the academic and extracurricular activities in school, citing that universities check out the overall resume of the student.

His mother, Bijaya Lakshmi Anandwade, also gave her statements, citing that the moment has made her immensely proud of her son, especially since he will be pursuing his passion.

Attributing the success of her child to the strong resume Vedant was able to create with the help of Dexterity, she also added that the INR 1.3 crore scholarship, although not a full scholarship, is a good opportunity for her son.
