The University of West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol) offers a number of graduate and postgraduate scholarships. The university also offers country-specific scholarships. International students can go through the following scholarship and then apply accordingly. 

International Sport Scholarship

Award Value: 

• A comprehensive performance sports support package

• 30% tuition fee waiver

Study Level: Undergraduate

Accepted Nationalities: All overseas students

Eligibility:

• Must demonstrate excellence in the chosen sport.

• Represent the university in competitions and raise the university’s profile through high achievements.

• Should not be a sponsored student or availing a tuition fee discount.

1st Formations Business Scholarship

Award Value: A bursary of £600 ($800)

Number of Awards: 10

Study Level: Undergraduate & Postgraduate

Accepted Nationalities: EU, UK, International

Eligibility:

• Must be a current student at UWE, Bristol.

• Must show a desire to establish a business.

• Must demonstrate academic excellence through a letter of recommendation from a tutor or programme coordinator.

• Must not be a previous recipient of this scholarship.

• Must prove the need for additional financial support.

How to Apply?

Send an email to the university along with the following: 

• A letter of recommendation from a tutor or course coordinator along with their contact details.

• Recent grades/exam results from the current course.

• A 500-word statement stating what makes you a good candidate for the scholarship along with the details why you need it.

British Council IELTS

Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education Dean's Bursary

Award Value: £1,000 per year for the first two years of study

Eligibility:

• Must be a new undergraduate applicant to a Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education course.

How to Apply?

Details will be sent after having received an offer of place on a course in the Faculty.

Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education MA Scholarship

Award Value: £5,000 for one academic year

Number of Awards: 1

Study Level: Postgraduate (Full-time MA)

Accepted Nationalities: International

Eligibility:

• Must be applying to MA in Animation/Graphic Arts/Design/Journalism/Photography/Screen Business/Screen Production/Multi-disciplinary printmaking

• Must have an unconditional offer with IELTS or equivalent as the only English language condition. 

• Must be a new student at UWE Bristol with no history of studying in the UK.

• Must be paying overseas fees. 

• Must not be receiving any other scholarship/award.

• Must submit official transcripts

• Must satisfy UKVI criteria with relation to living costs and the remainder of the fee (after being accepted for the scholarship).

• Upload a short video answering questions including “why did you apply to UWE Bristol?”, “Why did you apply for the course?” and “what are you looking forward to most?”

Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences Dean's Scholarship

Award Value: 100% tuition fees for one academic year

Eligibility:

• Must study to MRes Applied Sciences or MSc in Biomedical Science/Forensic Science/Environmental Health/Health Psychology/Health Technology/Public Health/Occupational Psychology/Science Communication/Sport and Exercise Psychology.

• Must have an unconditional or conditional offer with IELTS or equivalent as the only English language condition. 

• Must be a new student at UWE Bristol with no history of studying in the UK.

• Must be paying overseas fees. 

• Must not be receiving any other scholarship/award.

• Must submit official transcripts.

• Must have obtained the equivalent of a UK first or 2:1 in an undergraduate degree.

Millennium Scholarship

Award Value: 50% tuition fees for one academic year

The Sanctuary Scholarship

Award Value: 

• 100% tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of the course.

• £1,500 bursary per year for the duration of the course.

UWE Alumni Scholarship (2021/22 entry)

Award Value: 25% tuition fee discount

Eligibility:

• Must have successfully done a UWE Bristol degree programme.

• (PhD, DPhil, MPhil or Prof Doc students will be considered for the first year of study only if their course is full time, and for first two years if they are doing a part-time course.
