About CSKHPKV

Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is an agricultural university at Palampur in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Established on November 1, 1978, CSKHPKV Palampur ranks 11th among India's 75 ICAR Universities. This university focuses on hill agriculture. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research has accredited the university (ICAR). The aggregate marks of the CSKHPKV entrance examination and the results of the qualifying examination are used to make final admissions decisions. CSKHPKV, like most other Agricultural Colleges in India, conducts structured admissions through both online and offline channels. The University is situated at Palampur at an elevation of 1250 metres. It is near Pathankot railhead (further connected with a meter gauge train to Palampur) and is well connected from all important places of the country by road (NH20) and air (Kangra airport is around 50 Kms). A good number of buses are available to Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, etc.

The university admits students to various UG, PG, and doctoral programmes in agriculture and life sciences.
