What's new at BRAOU Hyderabad?
A university-level entrance exam serves as the basis for BRAOU BEd admission 2023. On June 6, the BRAOU BEd entrance test will be held, and the admission cards will be accessible on June 2. On the official website i.e. www.braou.ac.in, the application form may be completed online until May 22, 2023 and until May 28, 2023 (with a late fee of Rs 500).
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Hyderabad was established in the year 1982 through an Act of the A.P. State Legislature (APOU Act 1982) by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It was formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University. All the courses offered by the university are recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. It has also been approved by the National Council of Technical Education (NCTE) as well as the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The motto of the University is "EDUCATION FOR ALL". The university is providing services to the student community through a wide network of 213 study centres spread across both Telangana & Andhra Pradesh States, including 23 regional coordination centres and 14 centres excluding women students.
The BRAOU Hyderabad courses are offered to interested candidates at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A total of more than 200+ courses across 10 different streams are offered to the candidates at the university. These courses are offered in the stream of education, arts, science, commerce, and management with many diploma and certificate courses. All the courses at the university are offered in open mode. The BRAOU Hyderabad admission to all the courses is offered on the basis of the merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. For admission to some courses like BEd, MBA and more, BRAOU Eligibility Test is considered by the university along with the minimum eligibility criteria.
The BRAOU Hyderabad campus is spread over an area of 53.63 acres and has various amenities like an Administrative and Support Services Block, Guest house, CSTD & GRADE building, Academic Branch, Science & Technology Multifunctional Labs (STML), EMR&RC and Library building, Study Material House, an extensive Open Plaza, a Conference Hall, Centre for Learner Services, Vice-Chancellor’s Lodge and an Auditorium named after Late Sri Bhavanam Venkatram. There is no placement cell at BRAOU Hyderabad that offers on-campus placement opportunities to the students. Although, interested candidates can appear in the off-campus placement drive to get jobs in their chosen companies.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University Courses and Admission 2024
BRAOU Hyderabad courses are available to interested candidates at undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral levels. The courses are available in the stream of science, commerce, humanities, management, education and more. Generally, the undergraduate courses at BRAOU Hyderabad are 3 years, 2 years for the postgraduate courses and 3-5 years for the PhD courses. The BRAOU Hyderabad courses are offered in over 200 specialisations and 10 different streams. These courses are taught to the candidates in distance-learning mode. BRAOU Application Process 2023
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University application process generally starts in June every year with the release of the application form for the UG programme. The selection criteria for different courses are different in the University and for different courses. The application process for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University is both offline and online. To complete the BRAOU application form, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the official admission portal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University
- Select the programme and fill the registration form with the required information, such as educational details, personal details, and contact address.
- Scanned signatures and color photographs of the candidate must be uploaded along with the BRAOU application form. To avoid any difficulty in the admission process, the candidates are advised to keep all the required documents, such as birth certificate, category certificate, last qualifying degree certificate, etc., handy.
- Finally, submit the application form. The campus is found at Jubilee Hills within the heart of the capital city, Hyderabad. The University believes in providing scholars with the simplest environment for learning and, therefore, the most advanced infrastructure for professional growth. The BRAOU Hyderabad campus houses quite 120 special centers, classrooms complexes, student, faculty, and residential staff quarters, a healthcare center thats operational 24 hours, and an administration block. In addition, the campus is well equipped with a sports ground for indoor and outdoor games, a gym, ATM, library, mess, and shopping facilities.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, since the start, has embraced the multimedia teaching-learning approach. The self-learning course material is supplemented and complemented with audio-video lessons and live teleconferences. The University features a well-equipped audio-visual production & research centre, which facilitates the delivery of technology-mediated courseware for the advantage of learners.
