About Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati

Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is a state university in Tirupati that was founded in On July 12, 2006. The University is recognised by the UGC and promotes Vedic knowledge in all of its forms. The University's headquarters are in Tirupati. It is a residential university with teaching, research, and publication facilities. Tirupati University is spread across 300 acres of land. Today, the most pressing need is to safeguard and disseminate the most effective and pious Vedic literature. His Excellency Shri Rameshwar Thakur Ji, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh, believed that establishing a Vedic University would be an excellent way to promote Vedic knowledge in all of its dimensions. 

The university is known for its popular course specializations such as Rigveda, Samaveda, Puraskara, Kalpa, Vaikhanasagama, etc. Admission to all of these courses is done through an Entrance Test after the student has met the basic eligibility requirements for the course in which they wish to enroll.
