Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is a state university in Tirupati that was founded in On July 12, 2006. The University is recognised by the UGC and promotes Vedic knowledge in all of its forms. The University's headquarters are in Tirupati. It is a residential university with teaching, research, and publication facilities. Tirupati University is spread across 300 acres of land. Today, the most pressing need is to safeguard and disseminate the most effective and pious Vedic literature. His Excellency Shri Rameshwar Thakur Ji, the then Governor of Andhra Pradesh, believed that establishing a Vedic University would be an excellent way to promote Vedic knowledge in all of its dimensions. 

The university is known for its popular course specializations such as Rigveda, Samaveda, Puraskara, Kalpa, Vaikhanasagama, etc. Admission to all of these courses is done through an Entrance Test after the student has met the basic eligibility requirements for the course in which they wish to enroll. The Andhra Pradesh government responded positively, and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which is dedicated to Sanatana Hindu Dharmam, offered to fully fund the University. The University offers UG and PG courses in Sanskrit specialisations. Sastri (BA), Acharya (MA), and Vidyavarishi are some of the courses available (Ph.D.). SVVU Tirupati Awards 

• Sri Venkateswara Vedic University is the first University statutorily established with unique features for the promotion and propagation of Vedic wisdom. The University Grants Commission vide its notification No. F.9-4/ 2007(CPP-I), dated 10th July 2007 recognized Sri Venkateswara Vedic University under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956.

• Sri Venkateswara Vedic University Student Visa: The fees for a student visa are different for all countries. Generally, the amount ranges from $14 to $118 but the students are advised to check the fees by contacting the Indian Mission/embassy in their home country.
• The scheme's goal is to provide financial assistance to deserving students with family incomes of less than Rs.4.5 lakh per year to help them meet some of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher education. The annual target is 82000 scholarships per year (41000 for boys and 41000 for girls), which are divided among the State Education Boards based on the state's population between the ages of 18 and 25.
• The Ministry of Education's Department of Higher Education facilitates the process of receiving scholarships/fellowships from foreign countries as part of Cultural/Educational Exchange Programs.
