What's new at VTU Belgaum?

As per the VTU admission criteria, the registration link for higher semesters are currently ongoing. Candidates to move forward with their VTU admission need to register themselves between February 6, 2023 to February 7, 2023.

Visvesvaraya Technological University was established in the year 1998 in the Belgavi town of Karnataka. It was also commonly referred to as VTU Belgaum or VTU Belgavi. VTU is one of the largest technological universities in India. It is recognised for its excellence in ‘Engineering & Technical Education, Research and Innovations’. The university currently has 182 affiliated colleges, 1 constituent college, and 25 autonomous colleges. As per the NIRF Report 2022, VTU has an overall rank of 100 with a score of 44.35, a university rank of 72 with a score of 44.22, a management rank of 76 with a score of 45.15, and an engineering rank of 49 with a score of 50.20.

VTU courses list comprises 37 undergraduate programmes and 96 postgraduate programmes, along with doctoral level and M.Sc (Engineering) by Research courses under seven faculties. VTU admissions are done both on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam or on the basis of the entrance exam conducted against the courses. VTU placements are conducted every year through the centralised placement cell, also known as VTU-CPC. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, SLK, Mu-Sigma, Robert Book, Continental and KEC International are some of the top recruiters visiting the VTU campus placement drive every year.

VTU Belgaum Placements

VTU has a dedicated centralised placement cell that looks after the overall VTU placements. It conducts meetings with corporates regarding the internship and placements, organises free-placement training and arranges workshops/seminars/mock interviews making sure all the students are placement ready. Placements at VTU are conducted every year and many top recruiters like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, SLK, and Mu-Sigma visit the campus. The VTU placement process includes inviting recruiters, negotiating with them, preparing the placement drive template, providing placement registration links with the students, and so on and so forth. Courses & Admission 2024 at VTU Belgaum

VTU Belgaum courses are provided under nine departments. They are aerospace engineering, applied science, civil engineering, computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, management studies and VTU PG centres. VTU courses include various undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, doctoral-level courses and MSc by Research courses. VTU Belgaum fees are different for all the courses and are bifurcated into Karnataka, Non-Karnataka/SAARC, and foreign/PIO/NRI sectors. VTU Belgaum Application Process 2023

As part of the VTU admission process, candidates need to register themselves and fill out the application form. A candidate's application form will be the first basis of evaluation. Based on it candidate will be shortlisted for the subsequent stages of the VTU Belgaum admission process. Prior to that, candidates must make sure they meet the eligibility criteria set for the VTU courses. Candidates who are opting for admission at VTU for the entrance-based courses, they must apply, appear and qualify the respective entrance exams. The VTU application process is explained in a detailed manner below:

VTU Belgaum Application Process 2023

Step 1	Candidates need to visit the VTU official website and register themselves using their name, email id and phone number
Step 2	Candidates need to pay the VTU registration fees. For undergraduate courses the registration fee is Rs 4,000. For VTU lateral entry admission, the registration fee is Rs 3,000 and for the postgraduate courses the registration fee is Rs 4,500. Candidates need to pay the fees online.
Step 3	After registration, candidates will be directed to the application page. Candidates need to log in with the details sent to their respective phone number and email id at the time of registration.
Step 4	Candidates need to correctly fill up the VTU application form with all the requisite details like entrance exam appeared, choice of college, choice of branch, and so on and so forth. Candidate must also attach the documents to the VTU Belgaum application form as asked
Step 5	Candidates then need to submit the application and keep a copy of the same for future references.
Step 6	Once the application is submitted, it will mark the end of the VTU application process and further instructions will be communicated by the university through the candidate's contact details.
