Florida Polytechnic University is a public university located in  Lakeland, Florida. It was established in 2012 as the first public polytechnic university in Florida with a vision to offer the best STEM education in the region. Florida Polytechnic University not only offers quality and standard education in the STEM field but it also inspires and empowers students to do something innovative and creative that would shape the future of the world. Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Florida Polytechnic University was initially established as the branch campus of the  University of South Florida. Today, it is an independent university campus that expands over an area of 170 acres. The university is a STEM-centric institute and some of the popular courses offered at the institute include Business Analytics, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management etc.

Florida Polytechnic University has around 1300 students enrolled in undergraduate courses and most of them prefer living on the college campus. The classroom sessions at the University are held with a strength of fewer than 20 students and the ratio of student to faculty at Florida Polytechnic University is 15:1. The strong collaboration between the Florida Polytechnic and corporates, industries and organisations helps students join the internship programmes and also get full-time employment after graduation. Some of its industry partners include the Florida Department of Transportation, Microsoft, Cisco, Mosaic etc. 

COVID-19 Response 

• Florida Polytechnic University is following the guidelines defined by federal, state, and local officials to maintain the safety and well being of everyone. 

• Florida Poly will be conducting spring 2021 academic classes on campus with necessary precautions like social distancing, mask usage, personal hygiene and regular sanitisation. Everyone is encouraged to cooperate in campus for the safety of all.

• Students, staff and faculty  returning to the campus are required to take the COVID-19 test 

• Quarantine and isolation facilities are available on campus. Those who show COVID-19 symptoms must report the same to the university
