27th WB SET Qualifying Marks 2025: The qualifying process for the 27th WB SET follows a fixed and transparent system to ensure fairness for all categories. Only 6% of the total candidates who appeared in both papers are declared eligible for the post of Assistant Professor. This percentage remains constant every year. Once this overall number is calculated, it is divided among all categories according to the Government of West Bengal’s reservation rules, ensuring proportional distribution.
To qualify, candidates must score the minimum aggregate marks across both papers. General and EWS candidates must secure at least 40%, while SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PWD, and Transgender candidates need at least 35%. Appearing in both Paper I and Paper II is mandatory; missing even one paper results in disqualification regardless of marks.
