National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal invites applications for admission to Master of Science (M.Sc) in Physics and Chemistry programs for the session 2016.
Eligibility Criteria-
Candidates should have passed bachelor's degree in Chemistry /Physics with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system, or not less than 60% marks in the aggregate (taking into account the marks scored in all the subjects of all the public/ university examinations conducted during the entire prescribed period for the degree program).

Candidates can obtain the application form from the website of the Institute
The application form can be duly filled and sent to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivasnagar, Mangalore -575 025, Karnataka State along with the D.D. of Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST- Rs.150/-). drawn in favor of the Director, N.I.T.K., Surathkal payable at Mangalore.
Selection Procedure-
Selection of candidates for admission to M.Sc. (Chemistry & Physics) will be based on the academic performance in the qualifying degree program, written aptitude test conducted by the respective departments.
Important Dates:
Last date of submission of the application form: Friday, May 27, 2016.
Applications to be sent to the departments for processing: Tuesday, June 01, 2016.
Last date for dispatch of call letters to short-listed candidates: Wednesday, June 08, 2016.
Date of selection test/interview: Thursday, June 16, 2016, and Friday, June 17, 2016.
Publication of provisional selection/merit-list on the website: Friday, June 24, 2016.
