New Campus of Amity University Coming Up in Amarvati

The Amity University announced on Tuesday that it will set up a campus in Amaravati, the upcoming capital city of Andhra Pradesh. By 2017, the university will become operational and admissions will also be open from its own campus.

Atul Chauhan, chancellor and president of the university himself called Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence and informed him in detail about the upcoming project. Chauhan said, that the university offers over 250 different courses in various fields and till now they have been successful in setting up 11 universities, 20 campuses and 18 schools. The institute is to have well experienced faculty members and students from over 60 countries.

"Our university serves with a purpose to provide quality education so that Indian students do not have to go abroad, while, foreign students show interest in our institutions. We want to contribute towards your vision of transforming Andhra Pradesh into a knowledge and education hub," he added.

Naidu explained his mission to set up a campus that offers professional and value-based education for students and how he thinks that the students of Andhra Pradesh are talented and have potential to excel in any given field.

Naidu stated that he wants to encourage best universities in the world to set up their campuses in Amarvati and to make sure that best facilities are available to the students.
