Andhra Pradesh: 44,381 Candidates Appear for APSET 2016
The final key will be released on September 27, 2016. The results will be announced as per the date directed by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) concluded peacefully onSeptember 11, 2016. Andhra University conducted the test in the 100 centres across the 13 districts of the state.Andhra Universityconducted the test for the first time after the bifurcation. Prof. K Srinivasa Rao, Secretary informed that a total number56,450candidates have registered for the test out of which44,381candidates took the test by recording78.62percent of attendance.

The exam commenced at9.30 AMand continued till4.30 PM. The first and second paper were conducted in the morning session, and Paper III was held in the afternoon session. The test was conducted in31subjects and the authorities of the varsity deployed3,820invigilators,112local observers and24special observers to monitor the examination.
HRD Minister of Andhra Pradesh,Mr.Ganta SrinivasaRao picked Set-I for the test. This year,6,727candidates registered for science courses followed by6,592candidates registered for Telugu. There was an inadequate response for linguistics where only44candidates have registered.
The preliminary key would be uploaded on the official website of APSET onSeptember 20, 2016. The final key will be released onSeptember 27, 2016.The results will be announced as per the date directed by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
