AP DEECET – 2016 Commenced

The Andhra Pradesh DEECET–2016 exam commenced on 17-May-2016. AP DEECET is conducted for admission into Diploma in Elementary Education Course at various D.Ed colleges of Andhra Pradesh. This year the examination is being conducted in online mode for the first time. The examination is being conducted in two sessions. Morning session of the examination commenced at 10.00 AM and continued till 12.30 AM. The afternoon session of examination was held between 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM.

The first day of the examination took place in a peaceful manner at Vijayawada and Guntur. A total number of 3,743 students registered for examination at Vijayawada. On the first day the examination was conducted for 575 candidates in the morning session out of which only 472 students attended the examination. In the afternoon session the examination was conducted for 580 candidates out of whom 510 candidates attended the examination.

The first day of the exam at Guntur was held in a peaceful manner. In the morning session the examination was conducted for 1,029 candidates but only 887 candidates appeared for exam. In the afternoon session examination was conducted for 1,029 candidates but only 889 candidates appeared for examination.

On the first day most of the candidates reached examination center at 9.30 AM. They were supposed to reach the examination center at 9.00 AM. The candidates who were late were not allowed into examination center. There were arguments between officials and candidates as the exam begins at 10.00 AM. But the latecommers were not allowed. As the exam is being conducted in online mode candidates are supposed to reach the exam center by 9.00 AM.
