Sanskrit is one of the most scoring subjects in the Intermediate exams, as the question pattern is always predictable. Students who prepare important lessons from the textbook, grammar, and previous year's questions can easily score high marks or even 100 marks.

Preparation Tips for the Sanskrit Exam 2026

  • Revise grammar portions such as Sandhi, Samasa, and Shabda forms on a daily basis.
  • Practice translation and short-answer questions, as they are easy-scoring areas.
  • Learn key slokas and their meanings from the lessons.
  • Solve previous year papers to know the repetition of questions.
  • Set aside time for revising the prose, poetry, and essay writing portions.

Sanskrit Exam Writing Instructions & Presentation Tips

Follow these presentation tips carefully to get maximum marks:

  1. Write your answers only in a blue ball pen.
  2. Draw margins on both sides only in pencil.
  3. Make tables properly for Shabdas (Section-14).
  4. Underline key words properly in pencil.
  5. Maintain proper spaces between Sanskrit lines while writing.
  6. Paragraphs in essays should not contain more than 4-5 lines.
  7. Maintain a space of one line after every paragraph.
  8. Use Sanskrit quotations wherever necessary in essays and answers.
  9. Attempt one additional question in short answers, Sandhi, and Samasa sections whenever possible.
  10. Check your entire answer booklet carefully before submitting.
