CEPT University Organises 12th Convocation Ceremony
- The 12th Convocation Ceremony of CEPT University took place on January 20, 2018.
- A total of 537 students were conferred UG, PG and Doctorate degrees.
The 12thconvocation ceremony ofCEPT Universitytook place on January 20, 2018, inAhmedabad.Senior Research Scholar atNYU Maroon Institute of Urban Management, Professor Alani Bertaud was the chief guest. He is an urbanist and he has been rendering dedicated services toWorld Bankas a principalurban planner.
Delivering the convocation address, Professor Alani Bertaud urged the urban planners to take extensive steps for the implementation of their projects. It is the responsibility of the urban planners to play a pioneering role in bringing changes in the city through effective planning. In most cases, urban planners fail to implement their plans due to different reasons. Apart from coming with creativeurban development plans, the urban plans must be capable of convincing stakeholders for the implementation of their plans, he added.

Concluding his speech, Professor Alani Bertaud called the urban planners to focus onsustainable development. Extensive urbanisation will affect the environment, and the development plans of urban planners should be eco-friendly.
During the 12thconvocation ceremony of CEPT University, 537 students who graduated from the university during the 2016-17 academic session were awarded degrees. Among them, 186 students receivedundergraduate degrees, 326 students receivedpostgraduate degreesand 25 students were conferred withdoctorate degrees. University level awards were also awarded to some of the outstanding students. The event concluded with a group photograph of graduating students and dignitaries.

CEPT University issued only a photocopy of degree certificate during the convocation ceremony. It is the responsibility of the students to contact the respective faculty administration to obtain the original degree certificate.
